SEM isn't a malware prevention software... it's a SIEM. It's made to take and correlate all of your security event sources and make sense of all the data. If you have SEP, McAfee, or other software SEM can monitor the status of the nodes by using it's connectors to log data about all of these connectors. It can correlate…

We added some stuff for VPN usage 4 sure... needed to count how many people where working from home during the day.

There's a downtime with duration report writer report I used to use all the time on NPM. I'm not sure where it is off the top of my head either though. I really liked it too.

I'm happy to report that it looks like SW is on board with working with us to resolve the licensing issues. This is a big step in the right direction towards getting more people to use SEM for compliance. It's a tool that makes it easier to cover the 800-53 security controls and help to demonstrate you're doing what's…

You mean like when your windows C drive fills up and crashes the entire OS VM?

Thanks byron... you've always come through in the past :} This is helping me already with my NetApp jungle...

What does this add?

This is very important for many Federal, Military, and Defense industry users. We're a bigger user base than some realize I think sometimes.

I really hope this is still going to work ok with offline installations. Many... actually most of mine can't connect back to SolarWinds at all. Bill

Can't show my netpaths but I do love it... sometimes I load client on workstations and use it help troubleshoot client access problems using it as netpath source. Bill

The webpage coming up faster all by itself is a huge improvement... sometimes it seems like the VM is asleep or something. Bill

@wluther hacking Orion since 2000!

Remember this is for NPM 10.6 and up as it's a web report!

What is this exactly? I have some infoblox I'm using UnDP for already. Just curious what it looks like.

The modified poller for ASR devices totally fixed my problem. Mine all went from like 98% down to normal cpu and memory. The whole reason for this is these aren't normal IOS devices and basically run on linux... also not after you add the Cisco ASR Devices poller you'll have to either wait for a few polling cycles or I've…

I'm also getting ready to test this on our new WAN routers which have Cisco UCS blade in them that runs a virtualized FP module. We have one at each WAN router now: Security Configuration Guide: Unified Threat Defense - Cisco Firepower Threat Defense for ISR [Cisco 4000 Series Integ…

I'd like to know if anyone's had an success with newer 9000 series as well? With the new ASA Insight you'd think this might be up next for addition to Orion. My guess is we'll have to use UnDP for a while to get Orion to show any of this info.

The problem is it's not really a normal cisco device using normal OID's... it's a device running linux. I suppose if something was changed in NPM eventually it would see this device type and pull the memory from the different area. This workaround does work pretty well. I have to just remember when listing resources on…

Thanks Malik I used the cisco.poller that was posted... it's solved the problem for now. I appreciate your being forthcoming and following up quickly for me! Also excellent guide Malik Haider.

Has this been fixed post 11.5.2 yet? IE. has NPM and it's MIB ever addressed this or is it still always going to be a problem going forward? I have also ran into this and am trying to decide how to handle it.
-
So after this change is made will it still break the configuration wizard when it tries to run? I'm guessing so from what everyone's said but I suppose I'll have to find out. Maybe this means no: 12. If you want to use a designated SSL port, such as the default https port 443, for the web console, complete the following…

For some reason all of these old links are broken now which is irritating. I've gotten nothing on 4 of these http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/ links today. Have all of these been broken for a while now???
