I really really really need this functionality. I would think this would be very easy to implement as well. It's a bummer to always see these nodes red and down when they are fine just because security says icmp will never be permitted to traverse a firewall into our out of an enclave.
-
This would be GREAT! And it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult. Anyhow I can't imagine there aren't more sites with security protocols similar to mine when it comes to icmp passing some firewalls. I can't be the only one wanting to monitor things inside very isolated enclaves.

This seems pretty important to me...

Sounds like 2 really strong boxes to me... here's link to other users real world data if that helps: Also depending on how many nodes you have if it's a lot per poller maybe some of the people polling a lot of nodes can chime in :}

If you don't have to virtualize then I wouldn't as you'll never run into VM issues if you're not using them. As far as the Symmetrix SAN goes... it all depends :P Sometimes dual HBA's going out to a symmetrix can be faster than local disk array... a lot depends on the age of the hardware (EMC and the server). An example if…

In reply to Andy... here's one of our nicer products:

I think he had his account disabled or something like that idk?

Interesting thing... occasionally when I load the NTA summary page when I first scroll wheel down to the bottom of the page it snaps back to the beginning again... almost like it's reloading the page again... this seems to happen when I try and scroll down before the page is done drawing all the resources on it... If you…

So in mine says the following on the left under netflow settings: NetFlow Settings NetFlow Traffic Analyzer version: 3.5So I assume this means I'm on NTA 3.5 with no SP's then? I also assume it's ok to go straight to SP2 also without having to load SP1 first by just running the Netflow-3.5-Update.exe file. I'm interested…

that's just ripe for a UX session run over!

that's what i've been sayin' whose got the table? And let's see some pics! Geesh 200k aLTeReGo has 338,868 Points and somehow spent 450 on something so he has 338,418 points. 300K that's enough for two tables! o.O

This ^^^ can work basically two copies of the same database in two locations with NPM. Delete the east coast nodes from west side and vice versa. Install EOC and connect to two instances of NPM.
-
As myself and Radioteacher said... even the CISSP dues are only $85 / year!

Looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with!!! The nexus are kind of a different animal.

I totally agree with you bobmarley 100%.

^^^^ This.

That's exactly what I always do too! I'm glad you got it straightened out... if you think about it it's really showing you the exact data you request.

The hotfix took 4 hours o.O?

Mine was ok. It's just a little rubber case around the tiny usb key.

Is there a work around or fix???

@byron I think you can sometimes get a carriage return by using shift-enter or ctrl-enter

Are you browsing to NPM webserver from the webserver machine or another remote client? If it's from a remote client (that has the language extensions for clients browser/OS) then it's possible that you don't have the characters or foreign language setting you need on server where you run System Manager and Report Writer…

Can't you just create a new report of type "Active Alerts" and start your report this way? Maybe I'm missing something but I don't think it has to be in the event log to report on Alerts.
-
Thanks! I will do just that because I have developers that create random interfaces all day long and it's killing my licences. Bill

I have an additional poller but both nodes I have this application template assigned to are on the primary poller on my main NPM/SAM Server. I'm on: Orion Platform 2014.1.0, SAM 6.1.0, NPM 10.7, NTA 3.11.0, IVIM 1.9.0

Yes ran it a few times after the first of the month the following month and that data wasn't the same... this doesn't seem right.

Maybe add them to unknown devices thread: Tell us your "Unknown" devices!

@patriot Simply the old Network Atlas allowed you to export and import reports so you could share them. This is not implemented in the new Web based reports yet so you have to do a work around.
