With metasploit being so well supported by the community... you better keep up on your patching because once an exploit is revealed it doesn't even take hours sometimes for a metasploit payload to be created!!!

I see the "cloud" as maybe possible for some less security conscience workloads... but most of Federal Workloads I work with don't seem compatible with any cloud unless it's private. We use virtualization for a lot but none is public.
