The original solid copper core bus and tag cables were hundreds of pounds for 50 or 100 foot section o.O! They used to call them MAN CABLES.

Great job mrs.alterego!!! I just did a multi order to test it out! So the content distribution network can house copies of the files and images all over making ability to download larger files from more local geography possible it sounds like maybe?

You guys are better at this than I am I think.

I'm still frustrated there's no way to un-stick compliance reports in NCM without manually editing the database to get rid of the messed up status's. We need a button (in the web interface) that changes those stuck caching reports to status 0 in the database.

I'm getting my flu shot Nov. 2! I think you should get your flu shot each year.

I finally got the money for SRM! I'm getting 600 spindles worth... woohoo!!! Coming down the Thwack Camp at Texas might be fun to do. I had great time talking to Patrick, Bill Fitzpatrick, and everyone at Orlando Cisco Live SWUG! Good times and I agree about the disconnect Patrick. Sometimes I think management types get…

Congrats on the CISSP!!! I too decided I needed this cert and it's been an experience. They really have a GREAT racket going with this. I've recertified once so far at 3 years. They started cracking down on the CPE's now too... it used to be you could wait until 3 years to enter them all... not anymore. The one plus is my…

Good Luck... I'm not so good with these things either... it was great to see you at the PHX SWUG in 2018... you will be missed. I hope your new job is even better and even more fruitful.

Yep I understand that. I'm familiar with GFI which makes landesk as I've used their eventsmanager product for years on one network.

Sorry to hear that byrona I really love VMware and now that we're doing NSX as well it'll be interesting. The strange thing is our Architecture people have decided to use Citrix VDI vs. VMware for some reason with vdesktops only... who knows??? That move i'm not sure is the best idea since everything else is VMware now.…

I completely agree... we don't need to stinkin' automate things for the sake of automating things.

Not sure what to say about this but it's probably a market that SW is ripe to gain in.

I'm a little concerned about maybe switching to O365 after hearing so many complaints from people here.

I skipped the turkey too... it was prime filets for me this year.

Funny thing about that... We do collection drives at work collecting small items, toiletries, etc. to send to the troops all the time. Lately I've seen a bunch of MilkBone Dog Biscuits being sent to the enlisted dogs in the field!!! Many are in Afghanistan and even Iraq still.

I liked the linear regression article... One of my favorite math classes in CIS school was "discrete mathematics."

NetPath is really going to help with this!

I used 10.5 back then it was the old thwack too. Thanks to some people you don't hear as much about on thwack like @"tdanner" the guts of Orion has come a long long way from what it started as. It's night and day what we have now compared to back in the 10.x days. I sure don't miss the upgrades we had to do back then…

That's exactly what I wondering. The original Craftsman tools always had lifetime warranty.

Yeah I'd really like to fly on the last flying B-29! I discussed it with a friend we were considering it but it's not super cheap but would so awesome! I bet the P-51 ride at 400 MPH would be cool too though!

You aren't kidding... dang that was tough!

You gotta watch the order of false and true peeps! Also IDK if it's just me but the Online Backup announcement doesn't have anywhere on the page where you can register??? It says RSVP but for the life of me I can't find out where on the page: SolarWinds Backup LiveCast I don't see anywhere to register?

Firewalls have evolved... between the new -X ASA's, WAN routers with UCS blades running IPDS, and Palo Alto multi-function devices.
