I think that's correct it only does the fast poll for two minutes until it decides node is either up or down then reverts back to normal setting for the node.

From my experience always bring NPM up to date with the core orion services first... the upgrade planner in the customer portal is really your friend with this... it's even better than trying to follow the old guides. Also as I said run the permissions checker to make sure all of the permissions are correct for everything.

People have done a work around for this by for example setting the server to a specific timezone. Then creating a custom property of each device and putting the + or - from servers timezone in the property.
