Try copying the whole url and then paste it into your browser... when you just click on it... it's getting cut off.

Also is you want to use it with toolset v10 put it here also: * Toolset v10 (placement based on Windows OS): -Windows Server 2003 and earlier use \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\ -Windows Vista or 2008 Server use \ProgramData\SolarWinds\

@gr8matt Mines at the following location: C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Common

Awesome that's one nice thing... you can always add a custom poller for anything just about!
-
I'm just glad it's not... "My mind is going... I can feel it." as in HAL9000 :}

I didn't know it was even possible to install SAM without NPM??? That's a first I've ever seen for that. For nodes I have problems with hardware monitoring I just turn it off in Manage Nodes like you suggested by unchecking Hardware Health Sensors. I've found that for a few devices I get hardware alerts all day long if I…

Odds are Orion is just showing the number it's getting from the snmp agent on the device.... so it's debatable whether this is really a flaw.

I don't have one of the switches to connect to in front of me but I found the downloadable mibs for the 4400 and I'm sure the other are in there also. It's hard to believe how much is covered by some of he mibs these days. Digging through it all to find what you're looking for can be needle in a haystack almost.…

Not really but I'm sure it takes up some resources to keep those without expiring them if there isn't enough time to rid them and they start to really build up.
-
Don't get me wrong... I was just sayin' :}

Yes net-snmp agent loaded onto the appliance should give you these stats I believe.
-
It also works on devices using Powerbroker to get to root instead of sudo or just su'ing.

sotherls has been around here on thwack since even the old website.

Wow I haven't had the map that wouldn't open again problem... that's bad.

For one thing it's a much much newer application written during a more modern period of coding with a bunch of expanded features. I get the NTM can do some neat things like * Automate device discovery and mapping * Build multiple maps from a single scan * Export network diagrams to Visio * Auto-detect changes to network…

How about a small agent to poll a few hosts inside a DMZ then pass back the info to the main poller over one encrypted port.

I also put another constantly maintained one in the content exchange: Eventlog to Syslog v4.1Release 4.1Last revised January 20, 2010 This program is written in C and provides a method of sending Windows Eventlog events to a syslog server. It works with the new Windows Events service found in Vista and Server 2008 and can…

Thanks serena we're planning to the HF4 next week.

Exactly what I was thinking.... the offline installer does this exactly.

Anytime we have to move Windows servers or SQL Server it means having to move the SQL database... this is one area where a tool from SolarWinds would help... maybe do the transfer for us instead of us all manually moving SQL databases?
-
Is there any possibility it has something to do with Allow monitoring of flows from unmanaged interfaces being checked on Netflow Admin configuration page? I'm not sure just guessing as I just enabled this the other day.

I never thought anyone would unseat aLTeReGo but Eric CourtesyIT seems to have done it with his millions of links to SAM content for STIG's every quarter is starting to continue to add up. With our switch over to RMF this year I would guess Eric will get more and more hits. I also saw that Eric was considering coming to…

Yeah you're right byron... sean makes the unix server cpu calculation sound pretty complicated: Using the new OID ssCpuRawIdle: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.53.0 Transform Formula Truncate({100-{ssCpuRawIdle}/({ssCpuRawKernel}+{ssCpuRawIdle}+{ssCpuRawSystem}+{ssCpuRawUser}+{ssCpuRawWait}+{ssCpuRawnice})*100},2) I too wonder what…

idk this is a serious blast from the past you are looking at... I suppose if you can try pasting the SQL into the report writer and see if you can get any results... a few of the table names may have changed but my guess is it's still pretty workable from glancing over it. I used to use this resource back 5 years ago lol!

every time not everything and how come edit doesn't work on these threads????

This still cracks me up even the second time lololol!

It looks really great cobrien!!! All our network people are going to love this!

It certainly is NOT easy.

YES! I'm in Firepower and Firesight now called Firepower Management Center heck in a way... I used some snort back in the old days but this is all totally new on these -X ASA's. It's starting to soak in some :^}
