Chris- For some reason that page is not found... also Georgiy what's the story with this NTA cleanup tool? Maybe it should be included as an .exe in the main s/w install in case you ever need it in the future. I assume people usually just upgrade and don't try and uninstall then install a later version.

Same things that applied with 10.3 years ago still apply today... If this is new do you a have a firewall that could be blocking some of the traffic from the poller? Is NPM talking to the database alright? Also after adding nodes it takes a little while for the stats to start populating the database enough to show graphs…

You'd think it would create the directory but somehow this doesn't really surprise me.

I was thinking there might be a way to use this trap and possibly report on any nodes that haven't had one within a certain time frame: Alert: Virus Definition File Update • Alert: <Alert Name > •Computer: <Computer Name > • Date: <Date > •Time: <Time > • Description: <Description > •Severity: <Severity > • Source: <Source…

And obviously don't allow routing across the host.

If this works on any volume it would be pretty cool...

Thanks for everything Danielle you and Maria and Mrs. Alterego and all the Head Geeks... especially pHubb really make everything about having to fight with problems and work through issues and even learn about things (even besides the software) better than any other software companies I've even worked with before. It's…

I probably am a version behind... that's probably why I'm not familiar with this yet.

Probably the best way to confront the ISP would be to show them reports that you have run from NPM on availability, response time, etc. These will both work with only ICMP polling. If you have snmp polled data also you could show that you are getting packets dropped etc. if you feel your ISP isn't living up to their SLA's…

I think I'm actually using this one actually... they are similar.

I kinda thought the same thing... I was just worried somehow Sat and Sunday might sneak in... We run lots of backup jobs to some remote sites and it pegs utilization at close to 100%. I don't care about that so during the day is the time I really am worried about utilization, cpu, and memory loading.

Thanks for asking Georgiy. With my size network the reports for NTA run without issue (at least today). I like the graphs on the webpages. The only drawback with the reports under reports is that the graphs can't be included on them and scheduled (I know this is a requested feature). My attempted solution to this has been…

Hehe that may put an end to that but... it still hearkens back to the original thread like this! I had to relink it again for posterity and blasts from the past. Re: Post your Solar Winds home page

I've got the doc for you: http://www.cisco.com/application/pdf/paws/13822/pixsnmp.pdf This helped me out more than most of the other stuff I could find anywhere. This part is helpful: MIB Support by Version These are the versions of MIB support in the PIX: * PIX Firewall Software Versions 4.0 until 5.1—System and Interface…

As you can see I'm running a newer -33 version and everything seems to work as expected.

I think Georgiy's point was that there are issues with some versions of the ios incuding yours I think: The Cisco IOS version you are running "12.2-18.SXF12a.bin" according Cisco website (Netflow is globle export only) not just single interfaces.…

I'm using image as a background. It doesn't usually move all my LED's and interconnects by that much... more of an annoyance than anything. It seems like when loaded the updated image as a background everything is offset by a certain amount. I may be wrong but seems like when all I do is maybe remove one shape and re-save…

The important part to look at looks like this on mine: Polling Engine on :} Engine Status Status Polling Engine Active Type of Polling Engine Primary Polling Engine Version Engine Version 2010.1.0 - SolarWinds Orion Core Services 2010.1 IP Address x.x.x.x Last Restart 4/23/2010 11:42:46 AM Last Database Sync Now Last…

Yes!!! by UN-checking Group historical data by days on General tab does work correctly on the website with my filters in place! At first I didn't understand your comment: "In Report Writer there is an option 'Group historical data by days' on the General tab. Turning that option off might solve your problem (don't forget…

Thanks alterego... I tried saving as another filename and unfortunately the newer reports I need the most aren't running from website but do run from report writer. Strange thing is this is not true of all of my custom reports. I opened Case # 441853 Created: Many custom reports stopped running from website after NPM…

I still find times when for some reason it doesn't work... then days later I try it and it does. Maybe it's voodoo.

I use both IE and FF as well... I'm on Orion Core 2012.2.2, SAM 5.5.0, NPM 10.4.2, NTA 3.11.0, IVIM 1.5.0 for me export to pdf when I push the button it either goes away and comes back with dialog asking if I want to save pdf or open.... or it does nothing! Just this morning I was exporting a few graphs as pdf's to send in…

I think that's correct it only does the fast poll for two minutes until it decides node is either up or down then reverts back to normal setting for the node.
-
That then starts to point to it not being the SQL server swap itsself then if it had already started it's exponential growth over a week before the server was swapped. Zackm seems to be onto something though run those queries every day for a few days and see if anything big jumps out maybe... I've also recently finally…

This is interesting... I'm curious if anyone has tried setting a different machine type for some of their unknown nodes to group them as a new type of device???
-
Thanks for the update... heads up about these kind of issues are Gold for those of us whose well being hangs in the balance over some of this all working right! It sounds like it was a nightmare but I'm glad to hear you got it fixed somehow!

I would add your request to the NPM Feature Request Thread here: http://thwack.com/forums/57.aspx

I changed the flag for recording all three event types now in the database for volume remapped, volume reappeared, and volume disappeared. Not ideal but all I can do right now until something changes with agent or the way NPM handles them. I'm using my UnDP for netapps and custom alerts so I can monitor my NetApps without…

I think if you view in message center you can select them then clear or ack them.
