"Use of this or any other DoD interest computer system constitutes consent to monitoring at all times." Enough said.

We've never been allow to take any mobile devices into these areas... even way before 2017... basically never. Lock boxes outside closed areas has been the norm since mobile devices were developed. This isn't new at all.

Heck yeah and unlike vcenter... you can manage the cluster from any host in it!
-
I liked that one too!!!
-
Still... as far as the CIA leak goes... someone should go to prison period.

Always good stuff paul.parker! I'm under the grip of RMF right now big time... a lot has been changing and even though it's been hard it is making us more secure. The ultimate goal of RMF is continuous monitoring and I'm seeing it come to light with things like SIEM and LEM.

I concur... between appstack and perfstack being able to visually correlate data from even disperse data sets on a timeline is invaluable and I'd even say revolutionary in terms of troubleshooting tools!!!

Myself connected to webgateway over 8080 ESTABLISHED. Multiple ports. I wish I could see on the proxy what is happening from this end. I guess I need more of those probes it looks like o.O! Luckily I don't have to maintain the proxy too!

IKR... somehow I missed this o.O Uhg I must be working too much...

Sometimes it's had to follow up since you're already moving on to the next problem.

Crazy I remember back to the first THWACKcamp... a lot has changed since then with everything and in a way it's still the same! We've been through three iterations of THWACK itself... maybe 4 if you count coming back to previous platform. I'm happy that I'm once again allowed to use Orion on some of my networks and am…

Awe that's awesome!!!!!

Some skills in troubleshooting only come from years of working on different kinds of problems with multiple technologies. This is why everyone wants years of real experience but few pay for it.

Is there a written SCI exam? I'm confused today? I can see two wrong answers but does submitting a video of your instruction count as Final video instruction after SCI training? And I don't see anyting about an SCI exam. It just says completion of SCI course.

That twins thing is really funny Thomas lol! Also my Pixel XL 2 phone doesn't open at all without my finger on it... also the fingerprint reader is fast. I do have a google home mini though I got free with the phone. I'm more reserved about allowing alexa anywhere near my house... Also where I work we can't let anything in…

Netpath and AppStack will definitely help with monitoring hybrid IT I think... especially Netpath. Also some of the new cloud supported monitoring as well. I'm still very concerned about the OPM breach... just who has all those sf86's?

This is why many of us will never host most of our data in any public cloud. Often not only due to security but by policy. About the going the way of the dodo thing... I can see now entire storage being provisioned to datastores in vmware essentially taking all the control away from the storage people and moving to the…

I'm using firefox. The weird thing is some posts I can edit right away... other not??? Then the first one I commented about by the time you mentioned the edit button maria I was able to edit it o.O??? It's not a big deal... I'm just glad my posts aren't moderated anymore... that was more difficult... overall the new system…

Hehe this really cracked me up... funny thing when I had my first 300 baud modem and apple ][+ computer back in the day we used this software called ascii express to communicate. My "special" name in the community we'll call it was DEADLOCK. Oh and I remember that Rutger Hauer movie! They were in this high tech prison…

Quantum communications with the weird entanglement is pretty awesome stuff... it'll be the new unbreakable crypto.

I wanted to make sure I got all the questions... I think a couple of them don't register you've done them before this week.
-
Also you can add a plugin to Firefox that expands all shortened URL's to the actual URL.
-
With VM and container resources I'd say memory is what almost ALWAYS runs out before I run out of vCPU's or cores.

You know you get one voucher for being an MVP?
-
I've been considering testing LEM... I'm not sure it can handle to amount of security event logs I have coming from windows machines though with all the security relevant objects we must track. I literally get Billions of events over time.

The python is a great thing to learn better!

No contest here... Spinal Tap 4 the win!

WPM works good for the "top layer" of the appstack!

I am glad more focus is on cloud, ASA insight is coming, perfstack, appstack, and netpath. A lot of pressure is coming from the competition right now and many are focused on things these solutions provide. I'm in trade study right now at work on monitoring. The biggest area that needs more improving is on the installer. It…
