awe that stinks... I finally got the firewall proxy people to add an exception for me.

That's pretty neat actually... or you could just use NCM out of the box with change review built in as well. Report on it and see dashboards that show your progress. I'm always down with the open source solution too of course.

On Commvault now... it's good I think but it has so many features and knobs it can be daunting. Also it didn't look like the points were awarded upon completing survey if that was supposed to be automated... just an FYI.

Also it's a LOT harder to win now that there our thousands and thousands of people doing the missions each month! I will say this I still have my 2018 Mission Master award for getting the entire year correct!!!

Virtualization Manager has been helping us a lot! We still have vcops but Virt Mgr. does some things much better!

Wow this is pretty sweet Danielle! And right when I'm considering adding NCM module too to replace my aging Kiwi server that is really getting long in the tooth o.O!

Ha! Cisco Live has you beat! We had 35k Cisco people in Orlando last week. It was so many people that even with shutting down the entire Universal Studios park the lines for everything were still very very long!

Ugh writing workflows for the helpdesk is one of my least favorite things to do but it does help them resolve problems without having to call other higher level technicians for sure.

I do this as well but... I'm very reserved about what information I let out onto the internet. Also LinkedIn can totally spam your email address.

Yeah I'm surprised I'm not in the same boat Rick! I've uploaded a lot over the years. The tubes are: https://www.industrialalchemy.org/articleview.php?item=1073 ITS1A Thyratron tubes... really neat if you look at them from all angles they have many colors inside there! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QusGlI1k_XY Bill

I think D&D does help with many life skills. Also running game as a DM definitely teaches you a lot.

I'm not sure why everyone thought 5 was difficult. Reading the beginning of the hint makes it pretty obvious to me... idk? Also watching out for acronym psych outs is always on my mind.

Dang Will you get around! I've seen you at SWUG's in other cities.

This is what EOC is supposed to do... there was some new development on EOC to recode based on the core Orion code versus whatever what used originally and has finally rolled out a new beta!!! Latest EOC v2 Beta available for try! This is where EOC should have been all along it's great to see the newly coded from the…

You have to disable accounts before you walk people out the door... that's a given.

Same here. I kinda gave up on some the questions like this.

I'm really glad NPM added the capacity forecasting timeline into the future a few version back... this really helps with getting idea which direction you are going with resources.
-
Whew that was tough pulling the trigger but I pulled it! This mission has been tricky for me so far this month o.O!

perhaps some workloads could be moved to the cloud but some industries it just won't happen much...

I really think this would greatly enhance netpath display. It would also be nice if it showed the DSCP marking going in a device and out. This would help isolate devices on a path that are either changing or stripping DSCP markings. The biggest area this will help with is voice/video. It could also be really neat if we…

Maybe its not in add node and is somewhere else?

That helped... I was kinda digging all around before I read the comments.

One thing is for sure... in hindsight shutting the country down has been a mistake but now people need to go back to work. The longer people sit around and not going to work the worse things are going to get. No one seems to be reporting on the increase in suicide, depression, and other side effects. We didn't really know…

The missing part of the science is the link between the world of the small and world of large... ie. the search for the unifying theorem.

Apparently IBM still has a future for it's mainframes and full built in crypto is a big part of it: https://www.wired.com/story/ibm-z-mainframe-encryption/

Hopefully it will be a good session!

Aha I remember the geek who ran the marathon from back when it happened! Made it easier to verify. Bill
