I really hope Solarwinds will not charge more money for this feature. We have been loyal customers for years and have faithfully paid our dues. This feature has been requested for years and already done very well in Kiwi. I was promised this feature when we bought NCM and have been sadly dissapointed that this has not been…

I was told at one point that this funcionality was going to be available in the next release of NCM, but I do not see it listed in version 5.5. Is it not in this release? I brought this issue up over a year ago with tech support. Has there been any movement in developing this?

For us this is a management issue as much as anything else. It is a big frustration to have to use multiple utilities to get the information that we need. Plus this means more expense in server costs and licenses. Also, we dont want to spin up another DB server just to manage all of these additional ports. We finally gave…

Our biggest need is to have a DNS name or IP address and find the Exact port that it is plugged up to on a particular switch that is configured in NCM. Our current report is run twice a day when our shifts change. A list of all discovered IP addresses on each subnet is something we would really like as well. Kiwi allows me…

We have this same complaint from Orion NCM software. Before NCM we were using Kiwi Cattols that had the User Tracking tools. Since this was the only feature from Ciscoworks that we actually liked. Solarwinds has purchased Kiwi recently so I will be excited to see what improvements are made to NCM based on this. Currently…

Hi, I too experienced this problem. Thanks for the information. After deleting the 'NetflowSources' table entries I was able to access the Netflow web page. After 1 by 1 enabling interfaces I found that the problem only seems to appear if I select all of the interfaces. As long as I left one interface unchecked the netflow…

I am still using Kiwi Cattools for this information and it does a very good job on reporting correctly. It even has filters builtin to weed out trunk ports. What I do not understand is why NCM cant do this right now since it already polls the routers for this information and could do the same for the switches without much…

Ok, I figured out this much.... you need to run this command to update the ports and port names in the database. Insert INTO ServicePorts (Port,ServiceName,Enabled,System) VALUES (33333,'Port 33333',1,1) Is this the correct syntax????? My problem is that I dont know how to create a Script to increment this number by one…

No Problem. On our default NPM web page I have a Syslog Summary Resource. You can edit the resource to sort Syslog messages by time as well as the type of message, etc.... I have it currently configured to sort messages from the last 24 hours and by message type. When you click on one of the messages it should take you to…

Hi, " You need to write a SQL Script to update the Applications and Service Ports. For all of the unmonitored ports, name it with port number." I would also like to implement this. Could you provide a sample SQL Script that we could use to do this? Thanks for your assistance. -EP

Hi, I had this same problem. A 6500 in Native IOS mode uses CEF and MLS technologies to route traffic between vlans. This means that the traffic can move at near line speeds and saves the msfc valuable cpu cycles routing traffic that can be switched. Since the traffic never reaches the msfc it is never stored in the route…

I have experienced the same problem. Support Emailed me back about the issue saying it is a problem with SQL server and not the Wireless Pack. This is what the email said: Issue: SQL Open Error: Ambiguous column name 'NodeID'.No Resolution: Using ORDER BY on a column from a view, when also selecting the column normally,…
