Is this registration done on the workstation on which you are running the WEB Console in your browser or is it done on the server that is running NPM? The instructions in Help mention "server", so it's unclear. It would seem logically it should be on the workstation on which you are accessing the WEB Console but who knows.

Thanks for the suggestion. I stumbled on this same solution yesterday. We have two chassis. I finally realized one worked and one didn't. I used wireshark to do a trace and found the difference. I had combed through the settings prior to the trace but didn't see the https redirect. One was set for redirect and one wasn't.

Thanks! That's very helpful. I'd like to move to version 9 as well. I saw a YouTube by a SW engineer on configuring netflow which was also helpful. I believe NTA3.11 only supports version 5?

Got it!! Thanks! I see the issue now. This will make things much easier!

Sorry, I meant NPM. We are on NPM 10.6, but I don't have the option you do.

HTTP is enabled on the UCS to the VIP. However, no credentials I've yet supplied and no port I've yet stipulated will work. Can someone give me some direction?

So here is says wild cards work and later one of the other Team members says they do not. Which is it?

I've been pushing to upgrade. I wanted to make sure we aren't doing something wrong with the configuration.

My other fabric connect is showing N/A along with all the blades and the servers. Also the Fans has no display, no content.

It shows up for the SNMP get as a ASR 1002-X but when we go to the page none of the normal information on interface stats is showing in the web console. This is what I expected to find. However, when I open Advanced Alerts that last option, Routing Neighbors isn't there, only the first two. What version of NCM are you running? I would prefer to use the first method if that is available to me.

Thanks for the reply. We do have QoS on the interface, so perhaps that accounts for some of the discards. There may be some circuit issues, which I would expect to cause discards. I also configured "buffer tune automatic" on the router after I posted and it seems to reduce the discards. Ideally, I would want to see no…

We have the same issue on interfaces that are not highly utilized. So, I don't think it's about not being able to send the flows. I'll try the cache timers anyway and see if that helps. We have some routers for which it works and some for which it doesn't seem to work. Same models, same IOS.

I have a case open with Support.

I set the SNMP credentials in the UCS and enter them in SW but the test fails. I used a web site to create an MD5 hash for the pw in the UCS and used the same hash in Orion.

Is there a way to remove duplicate rows from a report? The poller has multiple entries for each based on the polling.

Excellent. I'll give that a shot.

They are only reachable through the server. We are using PowerChute to see the UPS data on the server. I can login to the server and see that the software sees the UPS. The server does not have the UPS MIB. I did a MIB walk and the OIDs are not supported as you indicate. So the question is how to get the MIB on the server…

I admit to being a novice. How do you go about using the VB script in Orion?

If there were a way to report on the number of times utilization alerts were triggers for a given location during the month, that would be great. Can someone point me in the direction of how to begin with a report like that?
-
Right now we are using NTA 3.11

In addition, even though only one interface, the WAN interface, is configured to send Netflow, we receive messages from Orion that it is receiving Netflow information from unmonitored interfaces. This is true, but it's unclear why those interfaces are being sent.

I've been able to do some reports with the Historical - Universal Poller option. Oddly though I can go to Orion and see that a poll value is filled for a particular node, however, when I run the report and filter on that OID I do not get results. I have filtered on other OIDs and it has workd and I've gotten results. Are…

How did you configure the UCS for SNMP and how did you set up Orion to monitor the UCS by SNMP? I'm having difficulty getting the UCS polling to work. I'm unsure what credentials to use. I specified port 161 which is the port the UCS is using and setup an SNMP user. Nothing seems to work.

We have five polling engines. One primary in each site. One site has two additional polling engine, the other site only one additional engine. There are two SQL server clusters, one in each site. The smaller site services around 10K elements and 1300 nodes with 7K interfaces. The larger site has 19K elements with 2500…

I've noticed there is no data for the Top XX Autonomous System Number Conversations. Is there a portion of the configuration necessary to collect this information or is the Basic NTA configuration adequate?
