You better create a support request, but I got it from http://solarwinds.s3.amazonaws.com/solarwinds/Release/HotFix/OrionNPM9.5.1.Hotfix1.zip
-
Our senior network engineer confirms that the hotfix has solved the issue.
-
I'm also very interested in news regarding the vSpere ESX monitoring. Created a support ticket with SW, that told me to read this thread, and that was it. Regards Anders
-
We installed the provided hotfix, and it seems that it solved the issue.
-
We have the same issue after install of 9.5 on a clean install, didn't have the issue before. Have to recycle the IIS instance often.
-
We use Remedy ARS, and use an executable triggered by Orion Alerts that creates the ticket directly into the SQL database of Remedy. Using quite a few variables that are send with the ticket, such as the NodeID, direct link to the node in Orion, Machine Type etc. When the alert is reset, we also sends the data to Remedy…

We had the same problem, SW did a webex on our installation and found that we should NOT use the hotfix. Installed the SP2 and ran the configuration wizard and since we had no issues with the map errors that you see.

Doens't work here. It polls for statistics ONCE then stops. The rest of the statistisc like CPU load, remains polled fine but newly added interfaces stops. Version 9.5.1 here. Ticket 147735 created with Solarwinds.
-
Yes, but what I'm trying to find out, is if there is a website performence gain if the webserver is on a seperate machine, the polling engine/orion of it's own and the SQL on a seperate cluster..
-
More info; Deleting the node in Orion, and adding it again, discovers the interfaces just fine and the statistics come in perfectly. This is a work around, but we loose a lot of statistics about the node (responsetime, CPU load etc.) I'll create a support ticket.

I removed the EnergyWise views in the Volume Details and it solved the problem as well.

The other screendump:

yeah the install is clean (not upgrade and on a new server) and v 9.5 downloaded when the install included the sp2 and hotfix, even tried to deploy the sp2 and hotfix today to ensure it was installed if our supplier was wrong in the statement that is should be included when we downloaded it.
-
Sorry forgot to mention, that the SQL is on a seperate DB cluster. I'm not sure that I'm 100% sure what you mean about the website and database. Why will the website end up being slow when on the same server as Orion?
-
Thanks for your reply. Funny. The nodes we have problems with, are actually MPLS nodes and yes we do have more lines with load balanced traffic that connects to the MPLS nodes that have the issue. I've attached two screenshots more; "list ressources" on the node whows that the interfaces are up and selected. Searching in…

I've been wondering about this for a few years too, so thanks for the thread ;- )

You can't! But I think that there is a webinterface for the "mangement console" available for $$ /Anders

I still would like someone to help me analyze the type of rows being stored in the TrapVarBinds table. But looks like we are good for now. Did you remember to add a community string and enable the SNMP service on the node?
-
We've been sending alerts to Remedy via rmcreate.exe which creates a ticket in Remedy since 2005. Using a workflow to match the nodes in Remedy, enabling us to autoclose/update tickets, when Orion sends updates/alert resets. We invested in HP Operations Manager some time ago, and since this is used as a manager of…

Maybe this is what you are looking for? support.solarwinds.net/.../ProblemDetail.cfm

Hi Lars, This I'd like to see. Is there anyway that you could do screenshots of the implementation? Regards, Anders Damkjær Oticon A/S

In the old version called Map Maker it was possible to select several objects, and label them all in one click by choosing the label icon in the menu bar. In Network Atlas, this feature has been removed. "Add label" just makes a new unrelated label in the 0, 0 position in the center of the map. A real pity for us that have…
