Wow - I think I need to turn in my hat with the propeller on it... Good stuff!

I like it! Definitely a positive line and it really reflects what the toolset allows me to do, leveraging a new component/feature to address a nagging issue and improve our overall service delivery.

Love it! When are you announcing the version of Mobile that uses the iPhone's Cattle iProd app to alert the on call person when a problem arises?

Evidently the group was set to require sender authentication; it's working now! Many thanks for the tip.

Great idea! I added a LEM user for myself and email test work; but one added for the group didn't. The LEM logs show it working (sent) but nothing shows in the mailboxes of the users in the group. I will follow up with my Exchange guru in the morning, but I think you put me on the right track...thanks!

FWIW, there was another syslog process running at the OS level on the device that must have been configured a while back to point to my main Orion server. It wasn't "standard Forescout" and was outside the GUI interface, so it took their support folks a while to weed it out. Thanks for the help in proving it wasn't doing…

Interesting! Assuming my filters are good, I'm only getting 1 informational syslog message there per hour; looks like it is indeed the NAC itself that is configured to send direct.

Thanks! I had configured the group as a guest. After changing it to a contact, I reactivated & enabled the rule, but have yet to receive any notifications to the group address. Any thoughts on that?

I am SO disappointed that I didn't look for this post & answer in advance last week when creating groups to show server availability by location - I ran into the same behavior (duh). Maybe I can use the group to define what servers are included and get the details and let Excel do the rollup...

Thanks for responding. I have been able to create a page with a number of tabs, so I'm all set. - Regards, Dave S

Worked for me; thanks for logging this!

Thanks. Yes, I would like to integrate them into maps, but I don't know where to start yet. If I come up with anything I'll post it. FWIW I had to purchase the "integration" service from Pathview to enable snmp on the devices, but it was reasonably priced.

me too; happy to help

Please count me in! We get asked about this all the time...

Thanks for your interest & help. Hopefully this will show you a better picture of the config. The first shows the generic forwarding rule (near the top of the rules list): The next shows the rules for capturing the NAC messages (quite a ways down the priority list) and logging locally:
