  • FYI, Clue 8 is still not accepting the answer is caps. I just had the same problem. All lowercase worked fine.
  •  Actually, if you have an SL2000 license with 820 nodes, 1140 interfaces, and 40 volumes, you have not yet reached your license limit. Orion is licensed based on the highest of those 3 numbers. So, until you reach 2000 interfaces, you are still within the limits of your license.
  • We've been asking for Xirrus support for years also and would love to see it implemented. I have some custom pollers I've built for xirrus to get number of associations, a list of clients with their ssid/vlan, etc, but it's a bit aggravating that we can't poll them with the native NPM wireless module.
  • Unfortunately it still has not been resolved and no one at solarwinds seems to care about it.
  •  I'm curious what specifically Blackberry Enterprise Server changes? We run the BES database and the Orion database on the same SQL 2005 server, and have never had any database-related issues with either application.
  • Xirrus WiFi Array: 1.3.6.1.4.1.21013.1.101 These used to show correctly, but disapeared in version 8.5
  • A tech can still log in with AD credentials as long as their client account is linked to their tech account.
  • I suppose it would depend on traffic and the size of the environment, but our netflow database server is a virtual machine in our vsphere cluster with a virtual disk on an Equallogic SAN and it works fine with no performance issues.
  • I'm curious what you're seeing in the vSphere client? In my environment, it appears to be reporting active memory and matches what I see in vSphere client.
  • This is a frustrating topic. This is something Solarwinds has been promising for 5+ years and technically "support" exists but it only kinda half works. Certain models of AP's get detected as an AP and show on the wireless dashboard, and some don't. Not really sure why it only works on certain ones because they all use the…
  • I think I may have found the issue. It appears that the counters are rolling over on high-traffic interfaces because the devices have Allow64BitCounters = 0 in the nodes table. It appears that I have a mix of values in this column, but all of the devices reporting bogus throughput are set to 0. Is there any danger is…
  •  I'm currently running the Orion app on a 32 bit server in VMware and the database on a 64 bit physical box.
