Hi familyofcrowes, I guess "low" is in the eye of the beholder. From a technical perspective, we believe this should work for 99.9% of our customers based on our knowledge of common usage. The Mobile Admin Server can be considered a lightweight proxy for other parts of a customer's IT infrastructure and carries much less…

Storage Manager currently supports only file-side (NAS-side) of EMC Isilon. It does not model iSCSI LUN's.

Is this for a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Domino?
-
Hi Alfred, I don't see a Support ticket in the system for you. What was the ticket # for the IBM XIV case?
-
Hi gerardolan64, What's the size of the environment you are trying to monitor in terms of: * SAN/NAS disks * Physical servers * Virtual servers The short answer is that a single STM server is limited to 500 server agents whether they are being used as proxy agents or not. However, from the way you've phrased the question,…
-
You are correct, sir! I'll get that logged with the team.
-
Hi thodge_1, Are you sure this in Virtualization Manager? Or is this within Orion (VIM)?
-
Hi Forrest, The "Error creating work process" errors from Mobile Admin are 99.9% of the time related to incorrect credentials. Are the credentials for those printer servers the same as you MA credentials? Are you using the correct domain? We've also seen WS DataCenter editions have really obtuse problems with credentials…

Hi bstew, Showing internal storage (local storage) for the v7000 is something that is pretty high on our list, but there is no timeframe I can give you at the moment. This is the first request I've heard for the v7000 Unified platform, so there are no plans yet to support this device. However, we do drive our roadmaps…

Hi Micbro, Storage Manager does not support reporting on Oracle ASM disks at this time.
-
Hi redhawk15, What version are you running? If you are running 5.7.1 or later, can you go to the Health Status page and look to see if there are failed collection jobs running?
-
Hi Nice Girl, The integration between the two platforms is only at the licensing level. You will need to add the array to both sides if you want to see it on both sides. If you do, the device will be polled independently by each platform, but you will only be "charged" for the device once against your license.
-
Which VMware package have you moved to for monitoring? Were there specific features that encouraged you to switch? Is there capability we could have added to Virtualization Manager that would have changed this decision?
-
Hi kolev, Are you referring to the responsiveness of the GUI or when new statuses are reflected in the GUI? How often are your performance and configuration jobs running? Have you checked the status of them on the Administration page?
-
Hi fcpsolaradmin, It is not currently possible to modify the RSS Feed inside of the VMan dashboard. You can delete the widget if you do not wish to see Thwack content on the dashboard.

Hi chrisgarnder, Is this question for Virtualization Manager or the IVIM module that is part of NPM/SAM? Could you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing?
-
Is your MA server on the same network as your Wi-Fi? Is the MA Server IP Address/hostname resolvable when connected to your corporate wi-fi?
-
For this kind of setup, I would recommend using Server and Application Monitor (SAM), not Storage Manager.
-
Hi rbshawn, Nexenta Storage is not supported by Storage Manager at this time.
-
Hi squinsey, You should not be experiencing any licensing problems if you are upgrading from a working (i.e. properly licensed) version of 5.6.2. If you are experiencing this with 5.7 RC, please file a Support ticket ASAP and then post here so we can get this investigated immediately. Thanks!
-
Hi Joshua, Are you getting an error message? Can you post a screenshot? If you have a Support case open, please post the number so we can get the two sides of this investigation connected properly. If you don't have a support case open, can you please create one?
-
Hi amozen, No, you should not need to deploy agents to all of your SAN attached servers. The host on which you install the main Storage Manager server should be able to communicate with your servers running the vendor's SMI-S provider. As you significantly scale out your system, it is advisable to install agents for load…

It is now! VMAN 6.1 allows you to use Orion's Advanced Alert Manager to create alerts on data presented in the integration.
-
Hi jeffreyc, If you are interested in this topic, I highly recommend you check out this Product Blog post: Virtualization Manager 6.1 Beta 3.

Moved to NPM forum.

Hi aguliana, cdekort is correct, VNXe does not currently communicate through the SMI-S provider. The new VNX2e devices do, but we have yet to see these in the field. We are very interested in supporting VNXe and VNX2e in STM. If possible, we'd like to get some command line outputs from your device in order to further our…

Hi tacticaldragon, First, how are you checking that the node is actually managed? Second, do you have the integration with Virtualization Manager enabled?
-
Hi fcpsolaradmin, Can you help quantify "far too long" for me? Also, is the response time noticeably different when using the web client on a desktop vs. the native apps? What services are you using?
-
Hi byrona, We may be addressing some of your concerns in the upcoming release of VMAN. Would you mind having a short call or DM discussion to sort out your use case?
-
Hi Charles, No, installing anything on the VMAN virtual appliance is unsupported. I would recommend that you install the VMAN and SRM/STM Orion modules side by side to get end-to-end visibility of virtualization and storage.
