  • @"jblankjblank" Thanks for your efforts on this. I took a different approach than what you suggested. I restored the VM from prior to installing the offline update. I then ran the online update instead. Everything worked with that process. I'm still frustrated with this whole situation and the time it has cost me, as i'm…
  • @"jblankjblank" I was able to download the ISO file you referenced and attempted an offline upgrade. I then received the error: "Failed: Network Configuration Manager - The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it. Some installation source files are…
  • @"jblankjblank" I pulled from the hotfixes as you mentioned. I'll try the update located in the release downloads instead. Might I suggest you folks put the all of the hotfixes in the hotfixes section of the website instead of varying their locations based on installed version? Additionally, in reference to the screenshot…
  • I'm also experiencing the same issue. I opened a case and was told that since i'm on 2020.2 I need to first upgrade to 2020.2.1 before applying the offline hotfix.
  • Thanks for the update, that's a lot more encouraging than having to wait for 2019.4!
  • christopher.t.jones123 I expanded a bit on this in this thread as well: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-204723 The technical support rep I worked with stated: "This issue is caused by a bug in the product. Orion incorrectly recognizes IP addresses in CDP data so it is not able to calculate all connections -> it…
  • Same issues here, not all clients are showing up, and all show up as unknown.
  • Support has told me the cause is having apostrophes in some of my SSID's. Their fix is to rename all SSID's without apostrophes and that will fix the problem. I'm in the process but havent completed it yet to see if it works. Do any of your SSID's have any apostrophes?
  • Thanks jblankjblank. The map is only important to me since its a quick visual reference for techs to glance at on a display and know the state of the link utilization and was the first thing I noticed as an indication something wasn't right after the upgrade. I agree, it's not the problem per se, but it's a symptom…
  • jblankjblank - Yes, the support case is #00346433. The interfaces are still being monitored and displaying correct statistics. Some (not all) of the links themselves that utilize connectnow for utilization (or speed) are displaying an unknown status resulting in a dashed red line on network atlas maps. If you try to…
  • Additionally there is a known (undocumented) issue with network utilization on maps in environments using CDP not working. All links on maps show down/unavailable. If I had known I would definitely not have upgraded.
  • Everything went extremely smooth for me. I upgraded NPM, SAM, NCM, UDT, IPAM, and VIM. Much faster upgrade than normal and didn't run into any issues.
  • If you use network maps and CDP in your environment, I wouldn't upgrade. There's a known problem that may cause all of your network links to show unavailable and break utilization.
