What is it looking for to poll the SQL Server and the SQLAgent components? And is that simply to determine if the instance is up and running?

I removed it from the Orion db and another. The List Resources found the other instance, but not the Orion SQL db (so I added that one back manually). Same issues.

I have three scripts I run that set up the permissions for our monitoring, the VSS Writer (as well as SQLSERVER and SQLAGENT) are in there as well but aren't doing anything. I manually assigned this one as the SQL server doesn't show up in the List Resources screen, so no option to monitor AppInsight. I can upload the…

I had the other 3 disabled, but turning them back on gets me 3 failures and a success on the VSS Writer component Though there is no error showing for the SQLAGENT

I've been over a few of the security articles (SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: How to create a non-administrator user for SAM polling.) and have a couple of scripts that work for the other application monitors we're using, but I can't get the SQL server processes to work.
