Rerunning the Configuration wizard fixed the HTTPS error, but the 100% CPU Utilization is still the same. I deleted the node from Orion, restarted the snmp service on the server and readded the node. Still reports 100%.

We have the latest Orion installed and I'm still getting 100% CPU on Windows 2003 Server boxes. I'm also getting this cool new thing that when I log into our Orion website via HTTPS, it just goes to page can't be displayed everytime. I have to refresh the page to get the site to come up. Any suggestions anyone?

Still no love on the Mac OS X Server / Unix side? Meaning that when monitoring CPU/Memory Orion always shows 100% in the reports and when you try and monitor a physical disk, it spikes the OS X Server's CPU to 100% and you have to force quit snmpd. Any word when a hotfix for that will be coming out? Sorry, I won't be happy…

Doesn't matter, I've tried every version that I can find, same result. I've posted similar topics on this forum to no avail.

There was not resolution. I opened a ticket and you guys didn't call or email me about said ticket for 2 months, so we moved on and didn't use that portion of the product. This was never resolved.

None of those workarounds worked for our Mac OS X Server boxes. Are you guys going to fix the hard drive monitoring issue in Orion for Mac OS X too? This is when you click to monitor an OS X mounted HDD in Orion and it spikes the CPU on the monitor Mac OS X system to 100% CPU usage until you kill snmpd. This has been going…

Sorry, this is a Compaq Proliant DL380 running Windows Server 2003. I have the same problem on Mac OS X Server. Doesn't matter what version of net-snmp I use, as soon as I start the service and monitor it with Orion, the CPU spikes to 100% on the Mac server. Haven't found a fix yet and this has been an issue with…

It's not reading the statistic data field in the database when you select Component name and Statistic Data of that component when building out the Advance alert. Therefore I can't alert against it the way I want to.

I don't think this is an APM problem since APM is working correctly, it's the advanced alerts that are not.

I tried 5.0.9 and the newest version on net-snmp website. The CPU still spikes to 100% no matter what. Anyone have any insight on how to fix this? OS X Server 10.4.9 net-snmp 5.4

Just FYI everyone. Orion 8.5 didn't fix anything with monitoring Mac OS X. CPU and memory still read 100% and if you monitor volumes the xserve's CPU utilization goes up to 100% and you have to manually kill the snmpd service. I've verified this on net-snmp 5.3.1 (version that is supposed to work) and on 5.4.1. Can we…

Installing a custom .dll file and upgrading to SP3 sort of solved the issue for us. SolarWinds.JobEngineWorker.exe is now taking up A LOT of CPU time on our main Orion server as well as the Scheduler and Engine Services. I'd call Solarwinds and reference my case above and have them send you the .dll the sent me and upgrade…

Just FYI, answered my own question. The filter is: Volumes.VolumeType='Fixed Disk'

I get the exact same error. CASE#: 38312 SolarWinds tech support hasn't been to track the issue down yet.
