  • ismersh, I also noticed you trace file looks much cleaner than mine. My files have alot of spurious characters. I am running NCM 5.5 DL1000 with a Telnet DLL of 9.0.0.27, you look to be running SWtelnet version SWTelnet9 Version 9.0.29. I am wondering if this is affecting some of my downloads. Any thoughts? Thanks, Don
  • Hello ismersh! Thanks for the response! I have been able to successfully upload my 450 config using the Execute Command Script. A few things to note - I needed to change ${StorageFilename} to ${NodeCaption} in my script, the file is named properly then. I still have trouble downloading the config using the Download…
  • Hello ismersh, Since you were having a fw problem earlier, I'm wondering if you are able to ping from the LAN switch to the tftp server (NCM). I'm glad to see that you are making progress. You look to have gotten better results than I have. I have a few questions, if you don't mind: What is the firmware of these 450's? Are…
  • Is there any movement on this request? It looks like users have been asking about SNMP polling enhancement for years. I agree that ICMP is the most basic and simplest method for determining node UP/DOWN and should continue as the primary method to determine UP/DOWN but there are still many times when ICMP is not being…
  • My current device config seems to work fine when not using Radius. Though it seems to be more than that. After making many changes to the Device Config, I have noticed (using Session Trace) NCM has been able to log into the device but doesn't realize it and disconnects itself. I may have to resort to not using Radius if I…
  • Chris, Thanks for your help! I agree the device looks to be getting multiple attempts at the login. Adding the VirtualPrompt was recognized by NCM but since Nortel uses the "#" sign on its banner page, NCM thought it was logged in prematurely. At this point I am still unable to login using NCM. I am attaching the latest…
  • Unfortunately, I don't think the file is corrupt. It's the output that is produced from a 450. As I understand the file is downloaded in binary, so I suppose the terminal interaction is a bit rough. I ran another trace and uploaded it. I realize NCM will not be able to show a text version of the config but it would be…
  • The attached trace may be more of what you are looking for. Thanks!
  • The device-type config is set to telnet and use the menu to get the config via tftp. The file is TFTP'd to the default TFTP server on NCM (TFTP-root). The file ${StorageAddress} turns up there after the download, NCM errors out. Attached is the trace. Thanks for any help you may have, Don
  • This trace ended in a "bad username" error. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Don
  • I was able to stop the tftp-server process using Windows Task Manager, after I checked the option to "Show processes from all users" Is there another way to do this using the tftp SW application? Thanks, Don
  • I have been able to setup an auto tftp config using the following Command string in the Nortel 450 Device Type: <Command Name="DownloadConfig"…
