This looks like an interesting one to solve what do you have so far to save repeating.
-
Are all the servers on the same versions of Solarwinds modules?
-
Which modules do you have?
-
Great news, lots of ways to improve as with everything. Taken a couple recently and one on the way happy to share the experience!
-
If it ran successfully you just need to move/delete the reports out of the folder think Orion/reports/
-
Can you confirm if you have manually downloaded the files if so right click the downloaded file and select properties at the bottom of the display confirm it’s not blocked. When running the installer right click and run as administrator.
-
Have you been through this process? support.solarwinds.com/.../Unable-to-retrieve-URL-using-Excel-type
-
They don't normally, but they will probably share a lot of the content here next week. It was a great event, hope to see you all there next year

perfect that did the trick! SELECT s.Polling.Node.Caption as [Node Name], '/Orion/images/StatusIcons/small-' + ToString(s.Polling.Node.StatusIcon) AS [_IconFor_Node Name], s.Polling.Node.DetailsUrl AS [_LinkFor_Node Name], s.Name, s.InstallDate as [Install Date], s.Publisher, s.Version FROM Orion.AssetInventory.Software s…
-
So this was the search query SELECT s.Polling.Node.Caption as [Node Name], '/Orion/images/StatusIcons/small-' + ToString(s.Polling.Node.StatusIcon) AS [_IconFor_Node Name], s.Polling.Node.DetailsUrl AS [_LinkFor_Node Name], s.Name, s.InstallDate as [Install Date], s.Publisher, s.Version FROM Orion.AssetInventory.Software s…

Ok so if its data not being monitored by SolarWinds can it be added then you will be able to use the data in the modern dashboard or any other feature using swql. The data needs to be in the Solarwinds database for it to be used in Orion console. SAM would be where I would start
-
Where are you running it from do you get a different result if you run from a windows client or server? Also have you used a local Solarwinds account i have found issues when using domain or domain groups on some environments
-
Do you have the actual query as your example seems very do-able in swql
-
Hi are you using an out of the box alert or one you have created if so could you share some screenshots of the alert creation pages
-
Hi, Not sure if you have managed to sort this but there is a doc below regarding it, have you managed to resolve? https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Solarwinds-SQL-Filestream?language=en_US
-
What is the error
-
this looks useful www.cisco.com/.../45281-ttyusers2.html if not used UNDP before some instructions below https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Create-a-Universal-Device-Poller-UnDP?language=en_US
-
I would look down the universal device poller and get the info into the database then you would be able to report on it.
-
You don’t ask for much

Create a group documentation.solarwinds.com/.../core-creating-groups-sw2591.htm Create a dependency documentation.solarwinds.com/.../core-creating-a-new-dependency-sw1316.htm
-
Hi, The best way is to look at groups and dependency's, make the node that SolarWinds go through to get to these devices on the remote site the parent and the devices beneath the children. Then if the parent node does down the child nodes go into an unreachable state so alerts wont fire for these and just the parent will…

I have seen this issue on the latest version when the ad user is added to a group and that group is being used to provide permission to solarwinds. Works as expected via website but have to use a local solarwinds account to connect via SWQL Studio
-
In that built-in widget there is no filter option just group by, you can do a page filter though so maybe check that isn't filtering it out somehow. But normally its that they have been removed from configuration management but still in SolarWinds.
-
Does your SolarWinds server have internet connection otherwise you could download straight from the THWACK site and upload to the SolarWinds Platform.
-
Requirements here if your talking about the back end database then yes but specifically for the web access I would suggest a feature request if there isn't one already here
-
No system should need to be restarted it should work as intended forever but as we know there are things that will prompt a restart, work better after restart etc. Do you have a specific issue currently? Wont hurt to restart?
-
Hi, As shown here under Server Port Requirements if your not using http and everything is https then you should be good but you will need 17777 for the bi-directional connection.
