Ours is set to rotate, one with a quick look map with weather and the second a super plain grouping of nodes.

It might be better to deal with the flood of alerts to mute the alert trigger and instead build a scheduled report that can provide you a list of affected devices. If you still want the alerts, then I'd look into adding additional conditions like must happen "x" times or on "x" devices prior to triggering. You can do this…

The issue is the start and end date and time. You are pulling data from the start of business on Monday until the end of business on Friday. I'm not good enough with SQL to help you fix it. I set up individual reports for each day during business hours since I couldn't get it to work like I was wanting. I'm sorry I…

I have tried two different ways thus far to handle the integration with event management. I'll breakdown what I found with each below and hopefully it helps: * Email integration* Pros* Easy to set up * Easily customized * Alerts are sent when they happen * Cons* swEventID doesn't make a good message key and building a good…

Have you tried doing an SNMP walk on the device yet to see what is being exposed via SNMP? Cisco is usually pretty good about making their devices able to be monitored via SNMP. I haven't worked with Cisco phone systems in a while and when I did we were using HP Node Manager.

If you're just looking to know if those interfaces are up I would make sure you add tunnel monitoring to the interfaces (i.e. BGP status). That would tell you if the interface is reachable and not add any additional licenses.

Would you be able to get those results if you ran the command from within NCM? Another option would be to see if the current license is available to pull using SNMP with UnDP. If you had it this way, you could run the report against a custom node poller. I mention this option, because I am not seeing the license…

What all have you tried? What does the "show me why" say? I'd like to be of more help, but I need more information to work with.

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.285.1.1.1.1.9 for Cisco devices is supposed to provide the port-channel member list, but I am not seeing it supported on Nexus or 3850 switches. I tested 1.2.840.10006.300.43.1.1.1.1 as well, it returns a value on the 3850 switches (needs work to make it usable) but not at all on Nexus. I have found that…

Is it Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, NAS, or SAN?

Have you tried restarting the services for DPA?

Does this mean that the existing training and webcasts that we get today will be locked behind a paywall? Is the "enhanced support" access to Thwack? Are the SolarWinds experts mentioned for study hours going to be people like Leon, Kong, Patrick, Destiny, and Thomas? With these "live events", are they going to be like the…

I would run a MIB walk on the device from which you are wanting an alert. If you can find a MIB entry that returns a date/time, then you would be able to check what it shows quickly. As far as having it alert when it drifts, that will be more tricky. For example, if your NTP source is out of sync you will get hit with a…

Try this OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.5003.10.10.2.21.1.3 We have been using it to monitor channel utilization off of DS1s.

We use NCM for remote deployments, configuration backups, standards audits, and change management. NPM is for our health monitoring. Using the two together helps to provide a single place to check for troubleshooting issues as they occur.

Are these managed as nodes or through the controller?
