I got 503 Service UnavailableNo server is available to handle this request.
-
Absolutely agree

We have Juniper MAG4610. We are able to monitor through NPM but can not download the configuration
-
jspanitz I also had a case open with Solarwinds with the same reply - not available, needs to be implemented.

I think it should automatically change the smtp server information only on the alerts that are configured to use that same smtp server. For example – you have 100 alerts that are using smtp.yourcompany.com and 30 alerts that are using smtp.yourprovider.com. If changing global smtp server had changed all the alerts then you…

Can't you disable the default setting for comparison so it doesn't ignore the "Last configuration change" and "NVRAM config" lines?
-
I actually changed the Node criteria - instead of NodeCaption like '% 4506% I have Vendor like '%Fortinet%'.

Hi mezdem, I got Solarwinds tech update an my case and SQL queries to purge configs from database based on the config type. I thought you might find this helpful for your task. Here is the email from the tech _______________________________ We have the queries which should help you. You need to run all four of them, it is…

Thank you very much. I'll check this out and modify a little bit based on our needs.
-
Hi sbeauchamp! I am wondering if this still works and subinterfaces excluded from alerts?
-
See NPM Feature request for Global SMTP Server Setting at http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/1286#comment-168702

ok. on the second subgroup change "any" to "not all". The conditions in that group should say "starts with" ....
-
hmm. I do not think so. It will cover the exact caption. Let me see what else can be done.
-
When you change SMTP global settings that takes effect only on the jobs you create after the change. The jobs created before that will still have the old settings. And you have to go and manually configure them.
-
Could you share the sql script you created? thanks!
-
I am still thinking if you need to have "not all" instead of "none".
-
Try to add "Interface name" contains "subif" under your "none" condition group.
-
Look under C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\NCM\Logging. The filename should be Job-{Job name}.log But I am not sure if that will give you SMTP problem. shack I am also interested to see if it shows anything on smtp.
-
Sorry I misunderstood your request and thanks for clarifying. I would create a scheduled job in NCM. We are running NCM 7.1.1 – From Network Configuration Manager Schedule > Create New Job > Upload Changes to Devices > the time and frequency the job needs to run.It will open a new window of the newly created job to be…

Hi Ali, We are running Orion NCM 7.1.1. My Windows user account is a NCM administrator (NCM role under Solarwinds Settings> Manage Accounts ) and is able to access both NCM Web Console and NCM software installed on Windows server. I do not have to create 2 different accounts for that.
-
Hi contracer, For NCM v7.1.1 - Launch your Solarwinds Network configuration Manager. Go to "Schedule" from the menu and "Create a new job".
-
DNS servers have 2 lookup zones - "forward lookup zone" and "reverse lookup zone". When you do a nslookup hostname.yourdomain.com the DNS server looks into forward lookup zone to get the IP address of the specified hostname. When you do nslookup x.x.x.x (IP address) DNS server looks into "reverse lookup zone" to give you…
-
I think it should look like this
-
I agree it would have been nice to have "does not contain" choice.
-
shack, I am attching the screenshots. Unfortunately, I do not have the newer version of NCM ( I have v7.1.1), but I am sure you will figure out where to find that in your version. The screenshot below is from the job properties. "Log Job steps to ..." saves the job log at C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\NCM\Jobs…
-
Please double check and make sure that the jobs have "Save results to a file" enabled as well.

Thanks for the reply. The custom property was already created and the Property type/Format was set to "Yes/No". This custom property appears on the node's properties page. The question is how to make it a check box.
-
Thanks for the reply. This only allows to purge based on the time frame the configuration was backed up and gives an option to either purge or not purge the baseline config. But if you want to keep startup configs and purge only running configs that are xx days old ... you don't have an option to do so. I have opened a…

Could you upload the screenshot of the trigger condition?
