I'm somewhat shocked to see the deprecation notice for NCM Vulnerabilities feature I can't believe that the changes to accept JSON over XML
-
Hey Eric, With SCM you apply rules/policies against each server added - The agent, in turn, checks those files, folders or registry settings etc and notifies you of any difference. Baselines are set when you first discover the device, but can be updated at any point similar to NCM - So if an authorised change was made and…

Omg wow - thank you Thwack & wabbott

Thanks Jez silverbacksays - I've had many customers in a similar situation, be good to hear other opinions. Also not sure if you saw my post about SQL Collation? Maybe you could weigh in? You too sqlrockstar SQL Server Collation

To be fair to SW the addition of application mapping within the new Intelligent Mapping is REALLY new, it was only added in the latest release of SAM 6.6.1 and there has been a ton of videos on YouTube and SolarWinds labs about it, but again I guess if you don't have the product then maybe you don't watch them, also maybe…
-
Please be careful what information you post related to the answer as we don’t want to ruin the experience
-
Ignore the colour and count the number of exchange instances. For the people without SAM the new Intelligent Mapping now includes the ability to map application templates so you can map application dependency.
-
As much as it pains me to say it, the answer is clear, I just made a mistake and clicked too quickly without checking my answers.
-
Q4 is hard if you're not familiar with ACI and it's terminology.
-
Q2 seems to not be working - I took the correct option and it tells me I got the question wrong - Can someone check that for me? I'm pretty confident I checked the right radio button.
-
I think the Snafu is you have to click the blue Vote button, rather than clicking on the link in the hint.
-
Yup ignore me I can now see that my brain and eyes were not connecting as I selected the wrong button!! Damn it - That will teach me to try and answer questions while performing SQL Maintenance!
-
Agreed - I run a weekly scheduled report which is reviewed by myself and two of the other senior admin staff, so that we can review all and any elevated actions performed on the system, which includes account changes, alert rule changes, node updates etc. It all comes from the system Audit Events table.
-
I think sometimes these questions are subjective - Q7 is a classic example, as I looked at the question as an existing NCM user, thinking Ok what does "multi-baseline" add that isn't already there, but that isn't the question, so the lesson is always read the question twice, think about it's meaning not your perspective on…
-
I appreciate the exchange rate isn't exact but it's close enough to give you the correct answer!
-
*Edit If you click on the Hint, and scroll to the bottom of the page in the FAQ's titled "How is Access Rights Manager licensed?" you will find your answer.
-
Might be worth posting these issues over in the DWE Forum so that the Product Managers / Dev's notice it. I suspect they don't check here as often. Dameware Remote Everywhere (DRE)
-
Thumbs up from me! Wish I could find the flag for this option in the DB so that I can script it!
-
I agree marcoswithanoh any chance of reviewing it before we get too deep into the day?
-
If the answer was radial it wouldn't be a challenge I don't think the question is that hard - My Sale Manager just got it right and he has never worked a day of support in his life! Common sense should apply as well. Have you ever in your life worked in a company that endorses the use of Facetime or any social media tool…

I'm monitoring 9300 & 9500 with no known issues.
-
Your actually getting 55 points as you get 5 for a poll vote and a bonus 50 because it’s the Bracket Battle
-
Having seen the actual product list price for the UK - You are right the "SolarWinds" exchange rate kills us
-
I got caught out by the wording, just ruined the entire month on one question! It was the communicating part I overlooked, misread it as connected
-
Whilst you can monitor (and alert on) the status change based on performance you still can't report on path changes.
-
Red Cross here, can't see how anyone can answer this correctly!
-
I've never tried it, but technically all the reports come pre-loaded with the SolarWinds logo, if you were to replace the SolarWinds logo on your website with your own logo it "might" replace that, but I'm not sure.
-
Bit of a naughty one for Q13 as it could be more than one of those answers!

Hi sploy And I suspect therein lies the basis for this series, to show people the basic concept of what is achievable within SolarWinds with just a little bit of customisation. Would you mind sharing a screenshot of your revised screen? I made some changes for my own testing purposes as well:

Hey marcoswithanoh earlier on this morning the whats-new page was still referring to NPM12.3 so none of the new features from Orion 2014.4 was showing.
