I can see what you're saying: The answer is: "Orion Health Status directly from the web console" But it should probably read: "Orion Deployment Health directly from Settings" or "Collect Orion Diagnostics directly from the web console" I would say reading in-between the lines the question asked what new features were…

100% Upvote for this one: #bumpsquad - Not sure if that still works, but I think it's a quality of life improvement

This is where I get stuck. If I use a Custom query then I can use _IconFor which is great but when it’s displayed the status icon is very close to the Node name (maybe it’s just my OCD). I’ve managed to use ToString as a replacement for Cast as a semi workaround but it’s not perfect. if I use a Custom Table then _IconFor…

Booked for 14:00 GMT - Should be good

This would make sense, also an annoying drawback is if you Group By SNMP Version and select Version 0, you end up getting ANYTHING that isn't SNMP, which includes WMI, Agent or ICMP which is a bit of a wide selection. I once used "Manage Entities" (don't ask why.... I already regret it.) and Polling Method wasn't available…

Awesome amount of updates. But here is an interesting question. Do you NEED NPM12.2 to get this update or should it come bundled with SAM6.4 even if you're running it stand-alone?

Question 6 Hint Should be https://files.mtstatic.com/site_11644/46189/1?Expires=1552299093&Signature=rJyRMatvXIGRQ1pvroeVXUVZmZ7Uqbr5laTxAKgpQl2QR… Or if that still doesn't work, you can get to the same PDF Doc from this page: SAM 6.8 RC Documentation - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

I did get stuck with the same thought process, the question does say "What additional storage arrays are now supported by Storage Resource Monitor?" my gut would say it's just the new ones.
-
It should be working do you have NCM as well as NPM?

Sadly I'm locked into the Google eco-system at home, so I want some additional Google speakers (Home & Mini) and wouldn't mind trying the new Home Hub! Not sure I'm ready for the new ChromeCast just yet my TV isn't 4K ready. I would love some SolarWinds Headphones or a Hoodie (*cough*) Ring Doorbell seems pretty common…

Thanks for another excellent monthly mission

Hey James, I'm referring to the section above titled: CHILD OBJECT CONTRIBUTORS To generalise it is how SolarWinds determines which objects are factored in when the status calculation is made:
-
I’ve never come across another one like it!
-
Yup clicked to quickly and got the answer wrong - DOH.
-
Congratulations to the winners - This was a fun little mission
-
Even an error log which gives me a list of the Nodes that were NOT added for any reason. When I'm trying to discover a specific list of IP's and say I have 500 IP's but end up with 400 Nodes, now I've got to run an extract of Node IP's - Compare it to the discovery list to find out which 100 devices didn't go in, and why.
-
Wow - First time I've entered the monthly mission in probably about 6 months - Be good to get back in the swing. Love the new format for the new Thwack
-
Well done to all the team involved.

I assume you've used some sort of CASE Logic for that as well, but could you not do something like this: TOSTRING('<A HREF="'+AlertObjects.EntityDetailsURL+'" target=”_blank">'+AlertObjects.EntityCaption+'</a>')+ ' On' + ('<A HREF="'+Nodes.DetailsURL+'" target=”_blank">'+Nodes.Caption+'</a>') AS [Object],

I would argue that is the Node isn't properly collecting statistics (ie Up but just by way of ICMP) then the responsible engineer isn't going to get woken up at all even when there is an issue as the monitoring solution won't know about performance issues. Rather get woken up to tell me it's a community string change than…

Sounds exciting, we decided to not go with Kiwi due to some of the limitations and the 32bit nature of the application so instead opted for a very bloated license for Orion LA which we really don't use to it's full potential and it causes bottlenecks in other areas of the network. This could be the answer we are looking…

We have a mix of alert triggers. 30% of Alerts are just Dashboard alerts, with only an Event Log being created - These are core alerts that are either actioned by the NOC or for Notification Only. Most of the other alerts use a a ServiceNow alert integration, a small percentage of them have email triggers either at the…

100% one of the small things, that could actually make working with alerts that much slicker and quicker It's a YES from Me

Lol - it’s right

Wow you guys - chill out! The competition didn't end until March 31st - It is ONLY the 2nd of April now. Give the girl a chance to collate the list of all the people that completed the survey and submit the points into your account. If points are not there by this time next week then ask the question again.
-
To be honest, if you have an environment that is large enough that you would need a dev solution that can stand up for more than 30 days (meaning the 30 day UNLIMITED Evaulation version isn't sufficient) then you should really speak to your supplier / SolarWinds account manager. I am confident that if you wanted to…

Wow, I was surprised by today's question - I didn't expect that to be the answer! Learn something new everyday
-
This month looks like a good one - Looking forward to it already!

Yes, it's still relevant, I suspect your over-thinking the question. The hint isn't really needed IMO. Have another read of the question and the 4 answers.
