I’m on the train at the moment so can’t test this but of the top of my head you could export any settings and simply remove them so they are not scanning anything! then run an import when your ready to go again.

The servers need to communicate using the Administration Service, have you made sure all the required ports are open between the servers? If you goto All Settings > High Availability Deployment Summary. Do you see the Primary server listed and is it Green?

It’s actually in the Orion UI since NPM12 check out this link: Remove disappeared APs - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

You can only use your license on a single instance at a time. So you can spin up a new environment on a 30 day evaluation, and then once it is built and ready to migrate you can deactivate the license from your old environment and apply it to the new one.

Hi, Did you ever get any further than this? I've got 3 SZ Controllers which we are monitoring, and I have added a new Universal Poller to help detect the status of the AP's which is fine, but I have no way to alert if they go down? Any help greatly appreciated.

As per my first post, we all really need to understand exactly what it is you want to achieve as there is a lot of speculation at this moment in time. Just to add an extra option to the above comments if your simply looking to find out what polling method your existing devices are using then there are many methods, but I…

Hi vijaydaniel I'm not sure if I understand what you want to do. Are you trying to verify the polling method of nodes already discovered in your SolarWinds, or are you trying to discover if new devices yet to be imported are capable of supporting SNMP? Thanks David

Hi alexferg welcome to Thwack. If your able to provide some screenshots it might help to explain your issue in more detail.

Make sure the user doesn’t have a Local SQL or Windows Individual account on the box as they will get priority, then check user isn’t in multiple AD groups that span multiple Orion AD Groups as there is a priority order and it could be the user is getting different permissions than intended.

Hi masterpark the reason the variable isn't working for you is that you have inserted an Application Alert Variable into a Component Alert. The two are different. Example: Application Alert - Application "! SQL Servers" on "SERVERNAME" is currently in a state of "Critical" Then adding the variable into that alert email…

Hi Paul, There are two screens depending on if you are using Automatic or Manual discovery but they both work in a very similar fashion. If you're using the Automatic option then your screen will look like this: Or if you're going manual then it will look like this: Hope this helps

If you are provisioning new servers for the Solarwinds then there is nothing preventing you from installing the latest release and then letting config wizard upgrade your database schema. Solarwinds don't advocate this approach as if done incorrectly you could cause issues which then become slightly harder to pinpoint the…
-
Hi Richard, Just to clarify are you looking for the node custom property "SiteName" to automatically populate data into another node custom property called "SiteAddress"?

If you download the 12.3 Offline installer it will include all the latest Hotfix installs.

The port that SolarWinds listens on is the Default Port of UDP2055, but you can change that port in the SolarWinds Settings Page - This way you can send the NetFlow for SolarWinds on a different port. When you say "another NTA Server" do you mean a different instance? If so then it can listen on any port you define as it's…
-
So first off, what products and versions were you coming from? NPM v? NTA v? IPAM v? If you are upgrading NTA then the latest version has moved the database from FastBit to SQL, and as such the Config Wizard will run through the creation of a second database which holds the flow data. This is in addition to your existing…

Hi skreezanx you can only view Report-Writer reports from within the Orion UI, but you can try to re-create them. If you were to head into Report Writer and check the SQL used to form the existing report then you could potentially come back and use that code to build a new report within the Web Reporter. Within Report…

Hi holnave so I had this exact issue with a customer environment last week, and when we escalated it to SolarWinds they advised there was a corruption in the application. We attempted to install Hotfix but that didn't resolve. In the end, the support rep advised us to UnInstall IPAM, and then re-install from a fresh…

Can you show a screenshot of what you see? Have you made any changes to your environment recently that might have triggered this change ie an upgrade ?

There should be an option in NCM Settings for "Comparison Criteria" which you can enable the ignore hex and ignore certificate. If they are not there then maybe check this resource Conflict: Running configs and startup configs do not match - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

Could you create a custom property and only alert if status is down & custom property equals primary connection. This would then ignore alerts from the standby peer?
-
Not something I am sure how to do, if it's even possible, but you could add an "Edit Node" button to the resource, which will take you directly into the NodeProperties of that Node, and you can then edit any of the existing CP Properties for that Node. Something like this:
-
I use the "Applications With Problems" & "Down Applications" they are widgets that are out of the box.
-
Hi amrita1690 , Sadly I think you will find that NCM has no use for those devices as the SF200 range doesn't include any CLI access, and NCM can only access devices using CLI command sets. Those command sets can be edited for different vendors, but there is no UI access via HTTP/HTTPS.
-
Hi rschroeder Based on the logic of your report I would say your SQL Filter simply needs to look like this: (Status = 0 OR Status = 2) AND (Caption Like '*SW*' OR Caption Like '*FW*') Hope this helps Regards David

Have you tried to manually connect from the VNQM Server to your TFTP Server using a TFTP Client to make sure the connection works and isn't rejected? It could be a security rejection from your TFTP Server?
-
Ignore it, the way SolarWinds calculates Component usage is bizarre! As long as your licence details page doesn’t show your over the count then don’t panic.
-
So based on the What were working on for LM does the current EC not support Alert integration? I’m surprised that was not the number one item on the list?

This is normal behaviour during an upgrade. It’s just telling you a Website exists for SolarWinds already and are you happy to update it. Go ahead and click Yes
