Does anyone else use Stored Procedures in SQL to delete interfaces?
-
What version of Orion Core are you using, and what version of SWQL Studio?
-
You need to upgrade the Main Server 1st. That is what updates the database schema/tables. Once the Main Server is updated then you can use the scalability installer (or the new Orion Deployment section) to update your APE and AWS.
-
Yes very much so, this was a much simpler setup. The other one is still work in progress. I will keep you updated

Hi nks7892 I did have that concern, but the fact you are already running on that version at 10.7 would assume it is compatible. It's just not tested as that version of SQL probably wasn't available when 10.7 was released. If you look here: Windows Server 2012, 2016 and SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017 Support -…

Indeed, as with most things SolarWinds there are multiple ways to achieve the desired outcome.
-
elias.isseid a SWID is your unique SolarWinds ID that is provided when you purchase any SolarWinds product, it is then used to associate your product licenses and to log support tickets. If you don't know your SWID you should contact SolarWinds Customer Services who might be able to help you. Check this thread for more…

Don't get confused between monitoring the ports as an Interface within NPM (Which is what you would see if you select 'List Resources') and monitoring it as a Port in UDT. There is a difference. * The difference between monitoring an interface in NPM and UDT is, in NPM we gather a lot more statistics – bandwidth usage,…

Hi mtaylor7 If you're not overly worried about the cosmetic look of the report I could send you a report template that shows all the active alerts on one single page using custom SQL, but they look little more basic. Example: Regards David

Thank you stevenwhunt - Excited to take a look

Deltona I wonder if you can add some clarification for me - Would I be right in assuming the User CAL's are consumed per DB User making a connection to the DB? So for example 1 x Primary Poller connection = 1 User CAL, 1 x Additional Poller = 1 User CAL, NetFlow Storage = 1 User CAL. Then if the Orion opens up say DB…

Would only say it might be better to perform Volume Caption Like Fixed Disk rather than all of those Not checks. However it is slightly redundant as your specifically only looking a Volume Caption C:\ which is impossible to find in a Virtual or Physical memory volume. The OR Statement is a good idea though

Hi bobmarley I have done upgrades previously from 12.0.1 to 12.2 using the new 12.2 Falcon installer. I believe 12.0 is as far back is it will go.
-
Hi dsmith5266 , In that case, you might need to try this: string @enter='y' then use no username enable @enter Give it a try and let me know Reference - NCM config template cisco reload doesn't work
-
Ok, I think you need to validate the conditions you need to see in order to trigger the Alert. If you go to Settings > Manage Nodes - Then find the Interface in question. Select it and you will browse to the Details Page for that specific Interface. It will show you a summary screen: My example shows my desk port, which is…
-
As the other chaps here mentioned you should still be able to use the Manage Nodes page to view all Nodes licensed in NCM regardless of the Vendor / Machine Type. To be fair, if you have devices that can be backed up via NCM why are you not monitoring them via SNMP in the first instance? If there is a particular reason,…

Odd I’ve not heard/seen that either - try and see if support will tell you what the root cause is and even ask if there is a buddy drop available to get your system operational while you wait for HF.
-
The dashboard I am referencing does include the Account which made the changes as the last row. the name is blacked out on the image to protect the innocent, but it does work.
-
I suspect it would go to the Dev team along with bugs etc, but I would normally only deal with them via a support ticket raised in the customer portal.
-
Hi serena one thing I did hear from a colleague is that the new 12.1 all-in-one installer isn't compatible with Win 2008 even though 12.1 was still supposed to support Win2008. We had a client performing a migration prior to upgrading and they had to contact SolarWinds tech support to get the older offline version. Might…

I am not sure that's possible the WPM Transaction has to have a WPM Player Location to run the steps from and that machine has to have WPM Player installed. In most instances that is the Orion server itself or a dedicated machine. You can check in your WPM Transaction screen: Mine is Orion Server which is:
-
From my understanding, you're looking at total capacity on the Server, not per Volume. The VirtualMachines table doesn't hold any reference to individual Volumes. What is it your looking to get out of that alert as it's quite specific? Is it just Virtual Machines your trying to target?
-
So interestingly I get an error on both 12.2 and 12.4 Systems which is: "There was an error processing the request" Yet both servers respond if I run the query directly in SWQL Studio
-
Ah sorry, so the main menu tabs are created by each module have installed, so Orion Platform = Home NPM = Network SAM = Application DPA = Databases You can’t create custom top level headers, all you can do is decide what options are presented below them.
-
The other option is to setup a dedicated view with the details you want using the customer specific filters, then that view can be exported to PDF if needed. Downside would mean multiple views to manage. If the wrong customer happens to land on the wrong URL they will still only see data they have access to via Account…
-
Ok so that's not really what I meant but not to worry! Lets try this: 1) Once the DB is copied to the new SQL Server you need to edit any reference to the old Hostname using a SQL Query. This Query is documented in the Migrate SolarWinds Orion products to a new server with a new IP and hostname - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC.…
-
That link is for a CPU 7 Memory Poller which needs to be imported via your Orion Web Console in the "Manage Pollers" section.
-
Ahh brings back some good memories! They were painful to work with as they made lots of changes to get to the final design.

Hey dodo123 is that after the popup giving you the choice of Upgrade or Stay on 4.2.3 ? nafees.khan sadly that isn't an option with SolarWinds installers. It automatically selects all the products you have installed and brings them to the latest version. I do think it should be a feature, but I can see how it could cause a…
