Is something running that pulls the user database every 2 hours? Are you running UDT?
-
This is not a SolarWinds issue. The F5 MIB reports tags from VLANs as dropped packets. If you have your F5 connected to a trunk port, then any VLAN's not defined on the F5 show up as dropped packets because of the F5 MIB.

I need to be able to suspend alerts, but keep the poller or APM polling. Right now we have some overloaded Exchange servers, that we need to keep monitoring, but don't want the hundreds of alerts per day until we resolve the issues. Anyway to do that?

The ticket number is 00429333 I have asked out account rep to escalate this ticket because the person working the ticket take 8-10 days to even respond and then we never get anywhere. He has scheduled meeting for the prior week, in the wrong time zone, etc. Our account rep has said this was escalated, but then it was 8…

You can install the tool on your workstation and the tool can connect to the server.

Thank you for your response. It is not a very good business practice to pay for support without any kind of SLA what so ever. This means we are paying for a service, and we have no guarantee that anyone will even ever acknowledge that our ticket was received. Without any kind of SLA, setting the ticket priority is…
-
There is an SLA for each priority. They have been missing these by a lot the last few months. And who is this account manager you speak of? We asked for years to have one, then finally got one, and now our response is worse. Well, Sorry, there used to be an SLA for responding to a ticket: Identifying Your Support Case Our…

Happens to us on 2007. We need something to catch this as well.
-
If it is the recommended solution, then why doesn't Solarwinds support monitoring SQL always on?
-
I believe the application template below is precisely what you're looking for. Thanks for the link. I guess I wasn't very clear. I was only using that one component as an example. I would like to use ALL the components in the "Windows Server 2008 Domain Controller Security", but I do not want to generate up/downs.

Same issue on NPM 11. Only way to get them back is to switch pollers.
-
I get this on mine. The new installer needs some work

+1 here too

Please fix this so we can copy and paste from an HTML editor.

However, they almost included all that functionality already in NCM,NPM, APM. They could have chosen just to make what was there better. One of SolarWinds big selling points used to be that you didn't need to purchase a lot of modules to flesh out functionality. Now what are they going to say that will set them apart from…
-
Yes, I was led to believe that these were features that would be added or updated in NPM and APM. It will be nearly impossible for me to justify spending more on modules, when there will be so much pushback from management after I talked them into the less expensive solution, that will be now just as expensive by the time…

I am not sure why this was marked as answered. I guess they are telling us this poller is not reliable and we should not use it. I am using APM 4.0.2 SP2 I am getting a little frustrated by all the APM pollers that are hit or miss. Sometimes they work, and sometimes they do not. This makes it very hard for me to get the…

I hear you gberry. The licensing makes no sense at all either. The artificial limits on number of elements that can be polled per poller is maddening to say the least. Every other product I have tried, I can poll the same number of devices and apps with one box with every competitor's product I have tried. With…

Hello, Even though support told me the memory usage was normal, the Orion Platform 2017.1-Hot Fix 2 resolved all my memory issues. But not before I spent over $5,000.00 upgrading memory that I now don't need. Now I have a new issue after the hotfix. My HA nodes are failing over once or twice a day. >>Frustrated<<
-
Case # 1143886 Created: Memory leak.
-
I have the same issue and was told by support that is is a bug and would be fixed in the next patch.
-
OK, that marked all the nodes, however topology is not working correctly. Example: I have a group of switches in a building that I want to build a map of. When I create a map, and include these switch and use "Connect Now" Some of the links do not get connected correctly on the main switch in the building. NPM Topology on…

Thank you so much. This worked great!

I have 2 additional web servers that load balanced behind an F5. You should not put pollers behind the F5. I have no issues with report writer sending out PDF's
-
I am having the same issue, after un-installing the UDT trial.
-
The real question I have is whether the product team is looking to add server configuration in a newer release. I've been happy with the NPM roadmap so it would be interesting to know if the NCM roadmap looks to add more server configuration abilities. I would like to know too, so we can focus on getting a CMDB or wait for…

AlwaysOn Availability Groups require the Full Recovery Model.

This is a chief complaint for us as well. This really turns us off when considering SolarWinds. Hounding is the key word here. I certainly don't feel I am being helped. Stop the automation!!!. Can someone just look up our email address and see what we have before calling? Or since I am already a customer, how about I call…

Then add it or give us a tool that we can report on our entire infrastructure.
