That is only for the device. Not for the elements of the device. For example, if you know a link on a router is going to be down for a few days, you don't want alerts on it, but you want to keep the history.

I agree. Try marking several hundred ports as unplugable from a list of hundreds of switches. This UI just does not scale in large environments.

You should only have to apply this to the web servers that you are trying to edit the templates from. Looks like this needs to be applied to the additional web server (stand alone) and to the master poller.
