I am upgraded to the latest versions and hot fixes. This has been an ongoing issue day 1 with the topology mapper for several years. All Cisco gear too.
-
Please email me. I would love to join the fun.

Not practical on over 1,000 servers.

support case #877480

I resolved Case # 1291329 Alerting service was failing. I stopped alert actions. Cleared all alert instances, and the alerting service seems stable. I have resumed alerts and it is still stable. Apparently, something in the alerts table got corrupt when the config wizard ran.
-
The main one right now is Case # 1291329 but if you could look at 1243657 as well.
-
Add me to the list, as we are moving towards Juniper.
-
Same issue here. I have had an open ticket for weeks with no resolution. The system is unusable.
-
at least they will talk to you. They haven't even called me back in days now.
-
Also agree that new releases have more bugs as of late.

Case #239093

That and release notes would be great. I have been forbidden to install RC's after the last 11.5RC fiasco.

That won't affect the built in view on NPM though.

What was the fix?
-
How did you do that? I added 64GB to my pollers because it was using so much RAM
-
Yes, I would like to see the expansion when you list resources as well.

Thanks for responding Mav. >>but many customers receive significant benefit in having Layer 2 data today and that is why the decision was made to ship with Layer 2 topology now and add Layer 3 support later But layer 3 is in there. You don't just have layer 2 in the code. The problem is that the current code for layer 3,…

\\cw\data is a NAS share and it is accessible with the solarwinds account. I have tried polling with both the agent and with WMI with the same results. I also have the "File Existence Monitor" on those servers looking at that folder and it works fine.

How do you enable the command line field?
-
You enable persistence on the F5. The F5 is a full proxy and handles the client connections and persistence. All connections to the web servers come from the F5 so there is nothing to persist. Oneconnect on the F5 re uses the connections. You don't configure anything on IIS.

Thanks Rob. Come on SAM RC !
-
Thanks for all the answers. 1. I don't want to change the ICMP timeout for all nodes. 2. Changing the polling interval won't help because sometimes they don't reply. I forgot about when a not misses a poll the SW goes to fast poll so that it has to miss a ping for 2 minutes before being marked as down. Also changing the…

That was not my question. I said SW does not support monitoring of AG's. App Insight does not support it.
-
Availability groups support was only added as of 12.2. Availability groups are the future. Works just like the availability groups in Exchange which no longer supports Failover clustering. I would go with AG.
-
They all run on the same APE. You are just limited to how many SAM nodes you can poll.
-
If you are buying new. "Upgrades" to NAM are ridiculously expensive.
-
We also use service-now. They have a web service API, and you can also create a ticket via email. I haven't done it yet, so if anyone has, that would be great for us too.
-
yeah, that is what I ended up doing too.
