Number 1 and 2 are the most glaring omissions. NTM failed to pick up 2 nodes, now I have to spend 4 hours scanning to add them.

Our plans are to keep everything local.

@"john.maxwell" If you already have several Solarwinds modules, the cost to convert to the subscription model is way too high. We got a quote and it was like buying all the products again just to convert the license. Ridiculous.

@"aLTeReGo" There was a log installer that was missing for the APE's that I had to get resolved on Friday. Was that fixed? Case # 00550186

Hi archo, would you mind sharing what mapping tools you are using?
-
Large user base or more customers like me that bought it and don't use it anymore because of all the shortcomings and lack of development? How do you know how many people are still using it?
-
That was a perfect assessment from my view. Solarwinds cannot seem to make a decent discovery and mapping product like many of your competitors do. You said it best "One of the challenges at SolarWinds is that we always want to do more than we're actually capable of doing" Do you guys actually use these products on real…

Entitled ragers? Not like a youtube comment at all. I paid for the product and kept maintenance and it is not delivering as promised and now abandoned. I guess that makes me entitled? If you have access to Gartner, Solarwinds gets dinged often for it's lack of vision. Not having an adequate mapping solution is part of this…

What is the status of this. My security team is asking me to turn off NTLM V1. They are seeing SolarWinds authenticating with NTLM V1
-
Yet another Solarwinds discovery and mapping product that is abandoned. I really wish you guys could get your act together on this.
-
that is the NTA hotfix and not the platform hotfix
-
Yes, asking about the installers. Our security team wants us to completely wipe and rebuild everything.

+1. - support has hit an all time low in quality and response time
-
Great. Thanks!

I'm looking at your case now. Any update? I have not heard anything from support since I opened the case. Still not a word from anyone on this issue. I sent an email for a case update, but I have not heard a peep since I opened this case.

We definitely believe that our topology discovery can be improved. We are changing the way we gather topology. Actually UDT uses different mechanisms than NPM, and we will modify NPM to use this improved method. We will also make it easier to update topology info more often. We're not abandoning any features in NPM or NCM.…

For what it is worth, I have downloaded the UDT evaluation, and have not ever been able to successfully add even a single device. It always hangs at 93% complete. No errors, just stops at 93%, no matter if I try to add 500 devices or a single device. I have let it run for 3 days even. If any SW staff is still looking at…

I do need to try to balance my posts (a little late in know) and say that while I have been saying a lot of negative things about SolarWinds, obviously there are many good aspects of SolarWinds which is why we purchased SolarWinds in the first place. Too many to mention. Also Support has been much better than most. And I…

Hi Dfairles I hope this blog posting about the NCM feature in question, will clarify a few things. Hi fcaron, Thank you for the blog post. This does really help explain how this works. Unfortunately, this just makes it worse for us. We currently have over 27,000 Ethernet interfaces, so If I add the more than 10,000…

Thanks byrona. On the vCenter issues I'm a little confused. Are you talking about the vCenter server itself or the ESXi servers attached to the vCenter? SNMP on anything above ESX 4.5 is very broken. If you have iSCSI targets it fails to poll completely. It times out if there are a lot of guests, interfaces or volumes as…

CDO is an outdated unsupported technology and will not work with Exchange 2010

Thanks, I did get a reply.

+1 here too.

I am not frustrated with UDT. All I want is for either NCM User Tracking or NPM Topology to work properly BEFORE offering a product with all the extra features of UDT. I really don't need UDT. One of our requirements for an NSM was the ability to determine where the MAC address of a workstation was located on a switchport.…

After setting the APM to "Poller Bound" it seems to be working for now. I would suggest that to be the default.
-
Thanks for the reply Denny, but I think you are missing the point. It is not the a-la-cart approach we are objecting to. What is troubling, is being forced to buy something that is really already there in the base product, but not fully baked, or just needs tweaking. My particular use cases are UDT. Don't we already have…

Will someone contact me on the existing open ticket, or should I request someone contact me?

Never Mind. Found it.
