I'm using similar software to troyfred and have a need for the same. I'll submit a FR so that maybe this can get some attention.
-
Also check the website configuration in the database table if you happened to change your FQDN as well.
-
foonly I found that the link doesn't always include the orion server name, so you may have to modify your alert to be: - InInterfaceDetailsLinkAbsolute - OutInterfaceDetailsLinkAbsolute instead of WHERE ID='OutInterfaceDetailsLink'}
-
have you updated the CSS here since your 1.2 version? For those of us that can't download
-
did it work for you sir?
-
bmoline my colleague pointed out that it's better to see when something drops than updown, so yeah I set the alert to <95 and <67 I think, because some of our load balancers are only putting 3 servers into a group. Happy to help!

Tons of people (including MVP's) are having problems with the latest .net. I believe in some instances it gets uninstalled. On the same note, you need to make sure .net matches on all your servers as aLTeReGo notes or you get some really really unfun stuff such as just a menu bar, website doesn't load, etc.

Have you checked the permissions for your account? Was something restricted?

connector is a part of NCM no additional cost. you can download it in customer portal
-
You can only enter it *after* you verify connectivity to your solarwinds install via providing a local admin password. After that you can do the CCO parts, if I recall correctly? Let me copy Dez to be sure.

rschroeder : now that it's processed everything, you have to wait for Cisco to generate the results of said connector. That can take another day or two. You'll see where you submitted the request it'll say" view link" or something like that once it's actually done. As I told you and a number of other folks, finding the…

Actually, yes. We use it to validate our inventory of devices. The catch is you need to make sure you're inventorying all of your devices, as mentioned. We have a group who refuses to let the ASA's be covered by NCM.
-
rschroeder you need to find out what company name they're actually using. Cisco reps can find that out for you. It may not necessarily be the same company name you think it is. You can also post here - https://supportforums.cisco.com/blog/12919231/self-service-onboarding-set-solarwinds-ncm-provide-data-smart-net-total-ca……

Also, now you can take your reports and turn around and upload them to smartnet rob schlick .

Cisco's Smartnet was under maintenance last week or so, I'm wondering if it is still affected.
-
policy falsified means your login in connector is broken. the userID warning means you're not using the address cisco is using, and generally cisco will provide this to you. For policy falsified make sure after you test connector's connectivity to your NCM install you go back and then enter the login information. Why? I…

Are you saying node A & B are physically connected, bobmarley ?
-
I concur. My network is some 12 thousand odd network devices and we do not ever scan anything larger than a /24 at a time - mostly because there are so many individual things to monitor and customize after that. I think it gets too cumbersome in the long run.
-
How is the dummy page thing any different than manually editing the XML? It sounds like a workaround, a bit? I don't hate the idea but just curious.
-
I am wondering if this may be impacted by the pending atlas changes that are coming on from Show us your Network Atlas maps and get 500 thwack points!
-
etcentene what I'm referring to is what angus is mentioning, you need to work with the solarwinds API to toss alerts to (something else). Such as service-now, or some other shared platform. Opsgenie being an option. In all instances you're looking for short term fixes to a long term problem, though.

Everything is different until NPM 12. After that, things are a bit more unified. I'd try to get everything to current release first, unless licenses are expired.
-
rob.hock's link is spot on and should help here. You'll need to go to $servername/Orion/Admin/DependenciesView.aspx To highlight some really basic concepts of what happens, you can: assign a node, interface or group to be the parent dependency and do likewise for the child which is dependent on the parent. So you can stack…

Iframe is arguably the easiest way, to add onto what bluefunelemental is saying you can have emails that include a report go to a custom email address assigned to a sharepoint library - therefore archiving them somewhere. There are also a ton of other sharepoint options. Or you can have the report scheduled to save to a…
-
Also this is not NPM specific, but IPAM/UDT (or both combined) might be good tools to consider as they can probably scan for this on a regular interval and provide you a history of IP assignment.
-
I'd ask cobrien about this because from previous discussion at the SWUG I recall there was more involved with this than simple packetloss/latency/port. Not sure how much can be said, tagging anyway.
-
I think thwack does need a 200k badge DanielleH , or is there any sort of high points badge? Or would we just be rewarding the same people we're rewarding anyway. lol.

This is what SRM is for, not SAM. There's even a reference to being unable to poll Netapps with SAM somewhere. edit/correction: as indicated below, the array shows up? I was assuming storage array not simply array set up on a specific server. I suppose I was incorrect.

As always, thank you for the fast reply and answers

Yeah, instant provisioning via API is something that could be super useful. I'd like to be able to customize DHCP flags via the API too - we have some custom ones to handle things like polycom phones.
