That sounds like a pretty big oversight, but let me ask ding if she knows if there is a planned fix for this!

In looking at the question for today, why not call Perfstack Perfstack? Instead of Home/Performance Analysis? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, meech

I only began to appreciate what TACACS does recently. I agree that TACACS style logging is a logical way to summarize a good portion of what I'm looking for, but more or less the point is to track what people have done. Say I went to the summary page, deleted a component, went to a node detail page, why not have a way to…

meat, direction, or process methodology?

an actual order history to audit would be better for all involved, plus being able to see what "can't be repurchased" would also be nice - considering that I never bought a backpack but it doesn't show up anymore because I queued it up once and never purchased it. Also, #bump

I had someone clarify that specialty vs jack of all trades is flawed in the past. It's more like "how many things do you specialize in" vs "how many things you generalize in"? Also the only problem in all instances is if someone isn't updating said skills to match their new needs. So, if you specialize now - do you change…

jeremymayfield the blood isn't for alerts (no idea lol)

cobrien exactly, but doing per-hop metrics leading up to the sip gateway was what I wanted to do with netpath. (original goal: actually poll the sip gateway obviously)

I believe next version of NCM was supposed to take over a part of FSM basically.
-
gerardodada I find this isn't enough. DPA is great for database performance and "Oracle Database" lets you see predefined metrics, but in the middle you have "making queries to pull data from tables" and nothing in SAM or DPA appears to fit the bill for that. Aka, I want to perform custom query X, which tells me Y.

Uh, if you want to see nodes from your search per AP just add it as a column and then sort through your results from the search. Not unlike excel? 'd still like to have groups be an option under "group by" .

It's been forever, I feel this could use a bump. #bumpsquad . I wonder if this will ever be considered considering a lot of the world is now mostly HTTPS?
-
I can see so much of Orion that would benefit from having this. Even now I can think about things like the capacity forecast metrics for all nodes being impacted by this idea via being able to specify what your business days/hours are, so that it'll only forecast during those times. Say 8-5 M-F and 8-1 Sat vs 24x7.

I figure it's a good 5 minute video topic; I could use stuff on how to use the maps that I can show to my folks as they ease into the newer platform. Or even an on-demand training sort of thing. For me it was intuitive, at least.

I didn't know people used Kiwi for SCP, but it's listed as an option for NCM - just not enabled, basically.
-
Umm, I don't actually see this value in businesslayerhost.config having that forcepluginsinseparateprocess thing. Did you add the key yourself?

I would agree with this assessment and feature request 100%.

Seriously, my kid is not even 2 and wants to tell every phone (real or fake) to open youtube and play baby cry. Don't ask We don't let her hold any real phone but she understands too much

language was indeed a trap

It means cross platform availability and takes care of a lot of end uses cases that using limited support for specific versions of IE does not provide or support. This is the biggest necessity for this product, IMO. This also appears to have been requested from 2012 on, so I can't even comprehend how this hasn't been…

start menu is still there, but the interface is still disappointing. The intent of keeping a consistent codebase and UX across a variety of interfaces is a horrible idea.

Jul 2019 bump! We have a nice interim way to get the view migration, let's get this native please.

I wouldn't say that cloud is everything it's hyped up to be. It has specific use cases, but if your security isn't good it's going to remain in a poor status with cloud - just that you'll have more servers exposed.

Maybe it's a trick question

bumps for the bump god! #bumpsquad

O365 does have API's but they're limited as to what data you get. You can basically quantify the service is up, but MS already has alerts to let you know of that. I happen to feel that companies who jump to O365 aren't really aware of the impact, and may or may not realize that this isn't always a good decision to be…

If we had something that wasn't mobile admin and roughly a grand upfront per person along with far too large of a scope, I could sell my org on it faster than I could even try to sell them on opsgenie/equivalent. Bonus: no sms fees.

There's a much easier way to manage facebook on android: just disable *all* notifications. Why do you need facebook to tell you to look at facebook so you can facebook? Look at it when you're ready, not just because it's there. I find myself doing this with a lot of apps on android, and it helps quite a bit. That's my way…

Yeah, we need Orion to pick up some sort of real alert management/scheduling platform concept. What we have is just too rudimentary as it is, even before we get to sending things to another platform to handle the alert/event management because solarwinds doesn't scale schedules. IE: off hours/on hours solution today = 2…

Yes, Ashley Madison acknowledged that I think 75% of their female users were bots or something like that. Then again, sketchy bots reflect on a sketchy company - so steven.melnichuk@tbdssab.ca has a bit of a point in his statement here. I don't know that I'd jump to legal repercussions if the issue isn't egregious, but I…
