Kids that are already not paying attention are now risking their lives in the same ways they would otherwise. News at 11. Water is wet, etc. Something new comes every generation this way and someone else wants to call doom and gloom for it.

I think we could do with a better diagram ; Cheryl is great at going over the features and the explanation part but the visuals don't really match the explanation - and all of this data should be covered and with better visibility - especially the monthly mission questions!
-
This raises an interesting question - how many people were entered for X grand prize competition, etc? maria.bungau - can you say how many people were successfully entered for last month's grand prize, for example?
-
I love the writing challenge and my only wish is that this continues going forward as it has been basically a fun thing every time!
-
Oooo, instead of having to edit the config? Very nice, I'm going to check that one.

tulsi / meech / kristin.bongiovanni - the link here that re-routes to success center is broken. See: http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/SolarWindsPacketAnalysisSensorDeploymentGuide.pdf?CMPSource=THW&CMP=D…

I too have people notice/request this fairly often. "You can use SWIS" is not really a great solution
-
Agreed, when I was doing some UDT work I noticed how rogue device alerts also *don't* go away ever until you whitelist a device. Which is a bit of a concern. Having it tossed into reporting would certainly be better.

As this is October, almost 7 months later than this. I have to say that I expected WPM/Pingdom to be integrated back when that was created. Maybe stevenwhunt can let us know if/where anything sits with WPM and/or who might know about it.

I like amazon gift cards (receiving them, haha) d09h but it sounds boring to me as a thwack contest item. 100% my personal preference, though.
-
I, uh....what? I get you don't like this and it does need improvement, but this isn't one that is entirely neglected. They literally put in framework to update it accordingly via introducing rabbitMQ - which on the long term enables a variety of methods to handle the issue.
-
I was thinking that people would be triggering this by choice with a notification (similar to product blog updates) not just auto-update. I still think it's needed, though.

Before my wishlist was different, now it includes a fancy 49" curved 4k monitor! 50/50 between the dell and the LG.

There is a report that shows what credentials are assigned to what, but I believe that only applies to the base stuff and doesn't catch like UDT AD or individual SAM templates.

2019. Let's hope this is the year this happens.

2019!

To be quite honest, I'm very much looking forward to both Black Friday and Cyber Monday to see how they impact our Org. We already have ACL's in place for basic security needs, with a firewall and a web security appliance to prevent unauthorized access, but I really want to see what happens to our primary website and other…
-
I concur rschroeder. I figured the firewall necessitates the same type of functions. That's why I won't buy a nest but will consider an ecobee; ecobee doesn't require cloud.
-
zackm tdanner I just realized I had an old FR that covered some of what was discussed recently.
-
I agree - all those steps take quite a while depending on the maturity of the org, though. I think part of the issue is the base knowledge before you get to all the solarwinds parts though.
-
I don't think it's necessarily hard to create a community as much as it's hard for people understand what building a community is and isn't. Which means it happens to be an actual two way street - an actual relationship, etc. Lots of sites just shut off any chance to build that relationship. Then they watch as nobody ever…

Anyone else having difficulties getting the demo to load?

Added one more idea for serena - that this could be time-based for the highest level of granularity. As in, we may not need it for everyone at all times (might be too much data) but being able to define a criteria for when people are tracked in depth would be useful. Example 1: new users monitored for the first 6 months…
-
FYI tdanner. troyfred uses cyberark (yay on him for not using TPAM which is a product of which I only have unfriendly 4 letter words for), but as a result my current org has a desire to have credentials controlled by third party applications. So naturally API's are the way I would envision that going?

Always double tap.

Yep, I refuse to use anything explicitly cloud based, including any cloud based storage that you can't even trust (let alone isn't even encrypted). IOT issues are as much an issue as proper security in general these days. I can't say how happy I am to have never gotten a nest, which is becoming a brick (and has been for…
-
I tried to see if there was a similar FR, but I hadn't seen one. Hmm. You also could have just linked to the old FR instead.
-
I'm entertained that I think they may have been smarter about security 50 years ago than today.
-
2013 closed survey! Too bad that Lync is now pretty popular, too.

I have a hard time with the lack of granularity here; two different jobs I've been at needed this and don't have it. I'm not about to jump to SCOM from the lack of granularity but I can't think of a lot of other mature enterprise management platforms that simply don't have this sufficiently defined or at least a better way…
