I ran those commands and re-entered the root password, and it appears to be staying in there. I will see if data gets collected through out the day.

Hi Garrett - In looking at the err log in mysql there are quite a few crashed table items.
-
Nope.... When I click on it, it pulls up what should be details about the Celerra, but no information shows up. A screen of what shows up is attached
-
The poller log seems to show that it connects to the celerra but there are apparently some errors after that: receiveViaTelnet: Returning FULL line ->-bash: line 2: nas_server: command not found 07 Nov 2011 15:47:11 INFO [Thread-18] [RosettaCelerra.retrieveServerList] - retrieveServerList: Returned String -->-bash: line 2:…

Interesting... I entered it and it didnt keep, which seems weird for a required field

When the root password for tcp dump is added and I save it, going back into the screen, the field is blank...
-
I tried it with and without the root password for TCP dump

Thanks for all the replies... have been super busy and not logged in for a while.

But doesnt the SLA provide a perceived guarantee? That a company should expect a certain level of service and complain when these perceptions aren't met by the service provider?

When I went back into the settings for the celerra the removal of information didnt take, the original garbage values were still in there. the attached is what I have in there now...
-
Thanks guys... these are perfect.

Bummer. Hopefully this is something they add

I went in after it was added, and edited the values to remove the TCP dump items. It removed them with no problems. Not sure if I need anything else (and/or) how long it should take for info to start appearing... would imagine it should be pretty quick

When I tried that, the wizard would not continue because it claimed those were required

The closest thing I have seen to that is being able to schedule a ticket to occur. You can schedule a task for the fourth sunday for example, but Im not sure, since the schedule doesn't appear to have a due date, if it appears on the calendar. I am just getting started figuring out tasks and processes/actions, but this is…

No maintenance window is just about right. We aren't a 24x7 shop in the Windows arena as there are other parts of the business that are 24x7, but mostly there is no acceptable Window to get maintenance done. Not to mention how much fun patch management can be... Patch manager makes it better, but it still is closer to…

Out of curiosity then, if a part is consumable and an asset is tracked and deployed, would an asset like an IP Phone consume a license as a part or another asset? the license is consumed by the deployment of said asset, but could be purchased and stored in the event that more phones are purchased and added. Being able to…

Thats a tough call. In my organization I am the IT department, so surely from that perspective it is all mine, but we do employ remote workers with non-domain joined laptops that are serviced through another solution (Windows Intune) for patching and updates. This service is not configured to prevent someone from going…

Maybe I am in the minority here, but sometimes I do rely on the users in my environment to help in testing the service for uptime. Especially after an outage. Sure there are things that need to be online (or back online) before the users notice, but they tend to be a pretty good notification as to the operation of a…
