I figured it out in the end. Although the permissions were correct, it was actually the Virtual Paths which were not configured, so the user wasn't seeing these folders when they logged in. Once I figured that it everything worked. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I did the following: 1. Created a brand-new account for testing. 2. Created a folder structure including a top-level folder and several sub-folders 3.
