I was going back through old posts and it looks like I had forgotten to update this. The release of CatTools 3.7 resolved this issue.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for both of your replies, Christine and Marie. Case #239859 has been submitted. I will update with the results. Thanks!

Yes, that would be a more succinct way of putting it. Is that possible?

Thanks to you and aLTeReGo for your quick replies.

Great info. Thanks for the prompt response.

Hi Christine, thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm using Nortel.Switch.NoCLI. I think this function would work if there was only one interface on the box, but based on the logs it looks like there could be a bug in CatTools. Ben

Hi Doug, thanks for your reply. This does answer part of my question - being able to upload .cfg and firmware files to the device will be very useful to us. The next part of the question still stands - is NCM able to generate and edit actual .cfg files to be uploaded via TFTP, or will configs be created and uploaded as…

Hi mcbridea, thanks for your reply. I configured an UnDP poller, which I hadn't done before, and it is attached to the node and polls all interfaces. When recreating the alert, however, I wasn't able to find an area where the UnDP poller specified interface speed. When I set the monitoring device to Custom Poller and the…

Is this monitor just counting the number of files in Temp? We've been getting alerts as well and when I compared the file count for C:\Windows\Temp\ in Windows Explorer with the number returned by this component monitor, I found they were the same. I have about 1900 files with names similar to 'tmp*.tmp' and 4 hex digits…

I just wanted to chime in late and say that Tom's solution solved my problem. These two things were required for the scheduled task to run: - Local Security Policy > Log On as Batch Job - Modify permissions for the SolarWinds Orion folder (the service account already had read access to RunOrionJob.exe) After changing these…

Joe, this is a great post. Thanks for sharing. To unmanage/remanage servers for maintenance, we'd be happy to deploy startup/shutdown scripts via GPO, but installing the Orion SDK on all our servers is not feasible. Can you expand on how to directly unmanage a node using PowerShell's built-in .NET properties?

Thanks for posting this method, it worked for me. I tried first with instructions that used the Microsoft URL Rewrite Module, but I saw a bunch of errors. This was much simpler.

Bump. Any ideas? Still haven't found a resolution to this.

We had a similar issue with Juniper devices, so we ended up creating a custom poller on a more specific OID and view it using a UNDP chart that's hidden on non-Juniper device pages. Edit: Here's a link to an introduction for universal pollers: Video Tutorial: Universal Device Poller in Orion NPM - Videos | SolarWinds
