Looking at the mission shortcut "SolarWinds Lab #91: Customize the Orion Platform with the SolarWinds API and SWQL" looks very interesting and something I would love to register for but I can't find anywhere to register for it. If I follow the link in the mission shortcut or click on Solarwinds Labs under events its not…

Would love the ability to add a comment why a node was put in maintenance mode or why the alerts were muted for a node so other engineers were aware of the reason. Currently use a custom property to record the reason why a node was muted and then an sql query to pull nodes muted with the reason why field and put onto a…

Thanks Phillip. Buddy drop file supplied and dlls replaced and advanced configuration changed as per instructions. All firewall backing up again. Many thanks

Hi Phillip Do you have a ticket number we can reference? I did log a ticket a few weeks ago and all that happened it was logged as a known issue and raised as a feature request. Thanks

I suppose the phase2 of the VPN could also be down but the phase1 up (so the interface appears up) but the VPN is not operational. We use keepalives so the phase2 should always be up but w get the firewall to syslog to Solarwinds and then have a syslog rule looking for any "phase2-down" messages - as the syslog message…

Yes sorry it is in a custom query widget on a page and the VPN interfaces are ticket for under list resources.

If you use interface based VPNs then we use the following script to monitor the VPN's on our Fortigate Select I.Caption AS [VPN_Interface], I.StatusDescription AS [Interface_Status], I.AdminStatus AS [Admin_Status], I.DetailsUrl as [_LinkFor_VPN_Interface], '/Orion/NetMan.Firewalls/images/StatusIcons/SitetoSiteTunnel_' +…

Had the same issue and logged a ticket with support ticket #1146341. The response was " I have seen this issue before and a quick workaround is to create a new Orion account named DirectLink to bypass the login screen. Refer to the link below.…

Still there. In your second pull down box you have selected "Auditing Action type". If you select "Auditing Event" instead then "Action type" under there the Mute Events will show.

Had to change the varible in the alert message from $(interface.status} to ${N=SwisEntity;M=StatusDescription} and that did the trick for me

Lets not mention SCP is more secure for backing up remote firewalls rather than having to setup a VPN just to tftp the config as we can't send firewall configs via tftp over the internet.

Make sure your IP address of your Solarwinds server is listed as a trusted host under administrators. Also we found we had to the private algorithm down to DES on the Fortigate end as well.

My issue with NPM 12.3 is the global search is displaying information regarding virtual machines, clusters and datastores even though the account is limited to a single Cisco Node. Again clicking on them (or hovering over) display more information that I care to disclose and again clicking on them gives a restricted page…

Did you ever get a solution to this as we are in the same situation as you found yourself in? Deleting the search directory is not an option. Thanks
