Thanks for the reply. One more thing I wanted to clarify is "Events vs. Alerts". Advanced Alerts go to Alerts and basic alerts go to Events?

One more thing, How would i write a filter to filter out any nodes with an interface status as "unplugged"?

I'm confused with your response. I'm referring to general nodes that went down. Solarwinds reports show one node went down, yet when i log into the switch, i don't see anything in the switch logs or on the switch itself showing it ever took a power hit causing it to go down.

So i take it you don't monitor interface status changes and other minor details?

In other words, I want to exclude certain nodes.

Thanks for the help. I guess we're either going to have to live with it until we can schedule a maintenance window and do a reset, or upgrade the IOS.
