All that should remain is for you to create an alert. Under the trigger condition select that you want to alert on a "Custom Node Poller". For the trigger condition you will want you most likely use and AND condition like the example below Custom Node Poller > Unique Name (Custom Poller) > is equal to TEMPSENSORVALUEINTF…

@reubenjack thanks for this. Very helpful indeed.

Thanks. I was already heading down that road but was not sure if I was on the right path. Honestly, I thought maybe that I was over complicating things. Thanks again for the assist and I may have some additional questions down the line. Either way I will let you know how it turns out. Stay tuned.

Awesome....thanks. We will give it a shot and let you know how it turns out. Also, about submitting it as a feature request...why the heck not?. I think I will do just that. Thanks again. Stay tuned!!!

You will first have to define a threshold then configure an alert.Try the following link below. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/en/flarehelp/npm/content/npm-custom-poller-thresholds-sw443.htm?Highlight=custom%20poller%20alerts Good luck!

Yes. You can specify specific individual nodes. Just look for 'View Limitation' on the specific view that you created, select edit, and choose 'Group of Nodes'. (see screen shots below). You can then choose the individual nodes that you want to apply that view to.

You can try Severscheck. They have several different models that support SNMP. Their website is https://serverscheck.com. They also have pricing on their site which is very convenient.
