I believe designerfx is correct on this. My MIB database is up to date but the way NPM might be polling for this info could be wrong. I'm going to submit a ticket on this and see what TAC has to say.

Thank you very much for the responses guys. This has help us out alot.

It looks like I'm limited in my options. the syslog grouping does help a bit but it doesnt get as granular as i wanted it to be. Thanks for the help everyone.

What about situations where i need to search for specific ip addresses but different networks i.e. 192.168.1.1 & 192.168.7.5.

Micheal, I have 400 TA5000's in my network that just went to 7.4.1 System Release. I am able to monitor all the interfaces on the TA5000. I know in 7.2SR there was a bunch of SNMP problems. What System Release do you currently use?

That did the trick. Thanks for the help.

Very nice feature. I have this working on my maps now. Any reason why I cant click & drag the map once I zoom in? I have tested this with chrome and firefox and they both have the same issue.

Also for brocade, the ability to pull in stats for MLXe chassis. Temps, line card cpu %, power monitoring. Those are just a few today that we had to implement UDnP. It would be nice have that integrated into NPM instead of the pollers.

I manage Eltek Valere systems in our NPM. Orion will not recognize the interfaces so you will need to use the Universal Device Poller. Its a lot of work to setup but its worth it after you get everything you need polled. Eltek's OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.13858 if you have trouble finding it in the tree.

I would also like to know this as well. We have around 40 MLX's and Solarwinds doesn't automatically pull in the temps like it does with Cisco.

Here is the official word from TAC. The OID that NPM uses for certain Machine types needs to be specified. For Cisco devices these have already been defined in the MIB database and mapped correctly. If you have a device that you want to show the correct machine type then you will need to provide TAC with the specific OID.…

I'm viewing this on my summary page of NPM. Here is the screenshot of what I see and also a node details of a MLXe.
