It's got to be Nerf or Nothin'.....still use them at work. Soakers don't work as well in a data center. It's frowned upon for some reason.

A single DNS IP for HA really does remove the ability for redundancy....you have a Single Point of Failure.
-
I support this considering they are 24 months behind some storage platforms.

I would like to be able to ingest Tags from my sources such as VMWare, Azure, ServiceNow and leverage them in Grouping, Reporting, Alerting, etc. Currently, from my conversations with TAC, this is not natively supported. The recommendation was to create a new SQL table and manually enter the various tags for each node. As…

That's a decent solution usually....our challenge was the latency and packet loss show up somewhat randomly so a larger representation might help us to identify the underlying pattern.

Awesome, thanks @"Kita" . Don't hesitate to have the engineer reach out to us, as we're all on a call trying to repair these issues without the engineer at the moment.
-
Ha....we'll be building out those scripts.....Solarwinds does not do HA well...
-
Hi @"Kita" here is the case #01734665. The engineer fixed the HA, but it went split brain again shortly after. We're aware of the 2024.2.1 fix, but need a stable platform first. Plus we're dealing with approximately 60 Nodes showing as down with false positive alerts that we're waiting for an engineer on potentially…

Clarification is definitely needed. Is this something that could be applied to other Groups as well?

Thanks but that didn't address my issue. We do have IPAM if that's an option. To reiterate...how do I monitor when an IP Change occurs on a DNS entry as part of an HA Failover for an application? Ideally as close to real time as possible. If IPAM is the solution, I would be interested in how to set it up for that scenario.
-
Did this work?
-
I'm interested in this as well.
-
That worked....thanks.
-
Perfect, thanks.

Not a list of all alerts, just a summary count for each alert that fired. Preferably something I can put into a graphic for my leadership.
-
I have resubmitted my MIB file....here's hoping. Thanks Yann.
-
I just looked...and the MIB i submitted in June is not in there.
-
Thanks Yann...I just looked and the new one is there. Hopefully my MIB was added.
-
We do have APM as well....how would I do it there?

What ended up happening was a co-worker had created a limitation under Views by Device type. Once we found this and removed it, everything worked fine. he had renamed the Node Details view, so we recreated it and created copies to work from.
-
It's not just the Admin account that can't view these devices...there are no accounts that are able to access these devices, even if I delete and re-add them.

Has anyone found a solution to this one other than hiding the utilisation? We have other business groups that would like to monitor the performance of their servers. Does anyone have an OID to grab the cache amount so I can set up a formula for the business to view accurate usage? Thanks. Dan
