How was the TopXX views constructed? Was it possible to combine the netflow statistics from several netflow sources to get a better overview? I understand that could cause the data being calculated for twice, but configured correctly it would be very good to have.

I see where I went wrong now. I extracted the content of TrafficAnalysis-Z001-WebSite.zip to c:\program files\solarwinds\orion instead of putting the zip file in this location. I did it in the correct way and it worked. Thanks! Cheers, Daniel

Thanks for your reply. I just had a ticket opened for this and got some great help even though this is not supported. I did the following: 1 - Edited the IP2Country.cfg file 2 - Restarted the Netflow service 3 - Did a truncate of the Netflow Correlation table in the DB

Is it required to run this tool with a user with System Administrator rights on the SQL server?

Have several IP350s with similar symptom, the memory utilization is over 100%. This is the value returned when I press the "CPU and Memory Utilization" tick box. If I tick "Real Memory" under "Volume Utilization" I get the correct values. Bit annoying as I now have several devices in the Top10 Memory list which is over…

Dear sabudeeb, What have you tried so far? Would help everyone if you were more specific in your question. This should be the OID for the APC tree: 1.3.6.1.4.1.318 Try to add a custom poller for the smart-ups and check the values for the different objects in the APC tree.

A way would be to do it in your mail application. TAG the alert message in Orion and then create a rule in your mail application that sets the high prio flag.

Have exactly the same issue with one of our two Orion systems. The one we have problem with is on a M$ Win2003 Std Server, it is Orion 7.8 SL500. The other one is running on a M$ Win2000 Server, a Orion 7.8 SL2000. Did you find a solution?

Are you sure you are logged in with that account when running the configuration wizard? You will not be prompted for your credentials, so you have to be logged in with the account that has the permissons on the SQL server.

The only thing Orion does is to check that your windows account match an Orion account. Important thing is to remember to set a password on the account you create in Orion. Otherwise anyone can login with the account as long as they know your user ID. This password will normally never be used but it is important to set one…

Found now in the release notes that packets will be silently killed if I am above the license limit. Feels difficult to know and to control if the data is correct as I am not sure if all flows are accounted for.

I followed the 3 steps above without success. The new resource file in the hotfix was not installed in the TrafficAnalysis\Resources\ folder on the webserver. I copied the new resource manually to the TrafficAnalysis\Resources\ folder and it now seems to work.

Last time I upgraded our Orion server I used the Network Monitor to monitor all nodes while Orion was down. I tried to use Network Performance Monitor at first but could not find an easy way to import the nodes. In Network Monitor it was very easy just to import the list of nodes and IPs. But the downside is that you only…
