Could you please check if the database with the issue is visible from within Perfmon on the SQL server. SQLserver:Databases -> and select all counters then see if perfmon can read them. Cheers Daniel

SQL Server Analysis Services? AppInsight for SQL only monitors the database engine, not SSAS or SSRS for that matter.

Just out of curiosity. Did you rename the appinsight for sql template at some point? I’ve previously had a problem with that because an upgrade applied the default appinsight for sql as well as the renamed one. Only one out of the box Appinsight template can exist at a given time. Try to run this query on your Orion DB:…

What version of SQL server are you running? Is the database online and readable by the SolarWinds account? Was it just one db on the server it can't poll? Best Regards Daniel Badstue

Im seeing this issue as well on random nodes, but only using the server details view and clicking list resources from the management view. If i list resources from Settings -> manage nodes it works just fine. http://www.solarwinds.com/Modules and versions installed: Orion Platform 2014.1.0, SAM 6.1.0, IPAM 4.0, NCM 7.2.2,…

Hi Christopher, To start with, try to reload the wmi library on the SQL server. Open a command prompt console with administrative rights on your SQL Server. Run command: wmiadap -f This will iterate through all the performance libraries on the system and refresh the Performance Counter Classes. If that did'nt work, then…

I can confirm that using the FQDN in the URLs is working.
