  • True, but that wouldn't automatically remanage without intervention.
  • I have UDT 1.0.1 installed, and here is what I have found so far. When I search for my computer, I find myself with accurate results, and it doesn't show every switch like it did before. The only time it shows all switches, is if I select "Indirect Connections" or "All Connection Types". So setting the filter as "Direct…
  • I have tried those utilities, but thats through the backend, not the most friendly for my other Network Engineers. I was also thinking about switches that we deploy. We put them into maintenance, and It would be nice if they would automatically be managed when they come online. Ed
  •  I setup a tiered alerting system on a per device for the servers, and one for Switch Distro Failures. POC Alert 1 TEST-TEST-TEST is currently Down Network Impact: Non-Critical Location: Work CPU: Memory Used: Avg Response Time: Last Reboot: Monday, August 02, 2010 12:10 PM Primary POC: Joe Secondary POC: Amber Backup…
  • Any way to fix this. I moved from one server to another, (Hardware Upgrade). The old server was named "cl-orion", and the new one is "orion". But I changed the IP Address of the new server to the same as the old, and took the old server offline. Then moved detatched the databases, moved them to the new and re-attatched. I…

  • I agree, this needs to be added. When policy mandates that our SNMP and Syslog traffic originates from a loopback interface on a router, I cant get any of the logs because I monitor it from a different IP then the Loopback.
  • That would partually work. I am trying to use a Custom Poller Value. The Foundry switches for example outputs in Celcius * .5, so I have to convert it back to Celcius before converting to Fahrenheit. Ed
  • I have over 150 switches, with many VLANs. Switches are Brocade/Foundry. When I search for myself, I find every uplink on every switch accross my infrastructure. If I filter to Direct Connections only, I have no results. When I add myself to the watch list, an alert shows up, and gives me the correct data. Because of…
  • Can this be done currently? I want to generate a report that shows all of my network interfaces, and show the date the port was last used. I have NPM, NCM, UDT, NTA, and APM. Thanks Ed
  • Im my experience, when NTA shows a stream, that is where it is actually originating from. Could this be a Loopback Source Address? Ed
