My 8 year old daughter believes I am all knowing when it come to anything computer, phone, and tablet related. I love helping her and showing her how things work. This brings joy to my heart. My wife's family also knows this.. which brings pain... much pain. They should be banned from anything with an screen...
-
I will try that.
-
Yes, I've had Systems, Network, and the Firewall teams look into it... no joy.

Thanks for the reply, I am specifically referring to TCPv4 / v6 and the TCPIP Diagnostic component monitors. The v4 and v6 are labeled as WMI based. But they still show data even with the node being polled via agent. I should have put that in the question... my apologies.
-
Can the "suppressed by" show ID that are from an AD group? Thanks.
-
Thanks!!!
-
Thanks... that's just what I needed!!!
-
That is the one question I have not asked yet. I have had this issue before with devices that are at or past the EOL, but I ran SMNP walk and I might have to try to build a poller for it. But my out will be to tell them that their device is too old.
-
We will try that... thanks!!!!
-
On the node or the main poller. These are routers and switches I need to test... I wish it were servers

We had a bunch of ATT/Anira devices that were coming up as unknown for machine type. I found a poller that would identify these these a ATT/Accelerated in the devices details, so when displayed in a Node tree widget the vendor listed it as: The problem is that when the pulldown is clicked on nothing pops up. Also I was…
-
I don't think so... its a poller to discover AT&T/Accelerated devices when added to the inventory.
-
That worked like a charm!!! Thanks.
-
Thanks, I will pull together a list and get back to you.
-
Hmmmm, I forgot to include that its a Linux server polled via an agent.
-
Which would be true but that's not the case here. We deployed agents because that would have been easier that Systems going over 300+ servers and configuring snmp (what I was told). The issue comes into play that I will have a server go "down" because the agent is no longer in communication with the poller but in reality…

Yes, I been checking that all day (and night). Now I need to wake up my manager to get clearance to apply the patch.
-
Thanks, right now except for a few admin accounts that only I (the administrator) use all access is thru AD groups. The easiest thing for me would probably be to pawn it off on the AD team... I can add users from the other domain to the groups but there is some issue that is blocking access. With all the things going right…
-
Thanks, this is a most detailed answer. This will help a lot going forward.
-
I think that is the best solution...
-
Thank you very much.... you're a life saver.
-
Thanks!!! The report is just what I was looking for. I was able to add some custom properties in order to sort it better. I have one question would there be a way to show ALL alerts and their assigned nodes? Something like the "alerts this object can trigger" pane in the Node Summary view? Thanks.
-
Thanks so much!!! I will try it today... when they let me breath.

The custom prop is already created... I need to populate the pull down for it with about 250 entries. I would have to do that individually via the edit custom prop selection. I don't like the Server Engineers that much...
-
That looks like it might work... I just need to learn SWQL by Friday
-
Lets just say I am not uncomfortable with it. I will gladly take whatever you can offer. I will try to figure it out. THANKS!!!
-
I (we) will try that...
-
The issue I might have is that our network engineers say there might be a problem with the routers having two devices collecting data via SNMP. BUT they still need SW for the Netflow data. Effectively I would be monitoring a router via ping, but also having it direct netflow to SW. Would the netflow be affected in any way…

Thanks for the vote of confidence. The guy who is in charge of the app is in my group and he is getting hammered about performance issues by another group. Of course its their servers not our app and I need to show that.

No, I am using the selectable variable in the JSON text area... so when it pulls the variable from the SW database it has the slash already there. What I was hoping for was a SQL/SWSQL query that did the same thing as the Volume description but is able to filter out the \ or exclude it by \\
