Hi sja, You need two config types. Just as Cisco has startup and running, you would have e.g. "system" and "service". Either misuse running and startup config types, or create your own. Regards, Jiri

Hi sk3l3t0r, Haven't you made the change to the running config whereas the message talks about the startup config? Regards, Jiri

Hi, This functionality is currently not available in NCM. Regards, Jiri

Hi mitchflossin, The general way here is to use Config Change Template. Please consult NCM Admin Guide and probably take a look at a few CCT's in Content Exchange. Sorry if this is obvious to you and you are, in fact, asking how to construct the CCT. Regards, Jiri

Hi v65animal, Consider upgrading to the latest version (9.4.1). If you don't mind, you could use the native Ultidev Web Server Pro that comes with 9.4.1 and use it for the Web access. It supports SSL etc. Regards, Jiri

Hi ryoung1, If the issue still persists, I advise you to open a support case. Please post back the results. Regards, Jiri

Hi Eric, I don't know VSphere CLI well enough to help you without further information. Could you please post the steps to backup the configs using CLI? Ideally with screenshots (showing prompts etc.) so that we can see the whole situation. Then, I hope, we'll be able to help you with the device template. Regards, Jiri

Have you tried using just 2015 as the regex? Jiri

Hi Matt, I discussed your question with engineering and the answer is that there's verry little or almost no overhead. UDT access rights must be set to at least Event log readers level. By default it reads the log each 30 min. and it only reads new data (difference to the last read). We have never encountered any problem…

Nope. It's a feature request. Jiri

Hi natel, As you said, the IOS version and the operating system info should be collected without problem. I suggest that you open a support case. Regards, Jiri

Richard, This is not currently possible. It's a (non-trivial) feature request. Regards, Jiri

Hi t.rollason, I'm afraid that the need you describe would be a feature request. Regards, Jiri

Hi qxf7, This would be a feature request. Regards, Jiri

Hi dsim, Don't you want to upgrade to the newest version of NCM, too? It's 7.3. If yes then I recommend a fresh installation -- upgrade from such an old version would be painful if possible at all. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi onewatcher, Have you made any progress? Is this still a problem for you? Regards, Jiri

Hi guemnang, It's difficult to determine the problem just from that error message. Please enable session tracing under Settings -> NCM Settings -> Advanced Settings and look at the info. (Remember to disable the session tracing after you finish troubleshooting.) Regards, Jiri

Moving to NPM.

Neal, A "node group" in current versions of NCM is indeed solely a text field. You can use custom properties to achieve the same functionality, e.g. have a node in multiple "groups" etc. In the long-term, we would like to fully adopt the cocept of Orion groups. Regards, Jiri

Hi, I think you should open a support case. Jiri

Hi Mez, When you install/upgrade NCM, the wizard asks you whether you want to create new databases or use existing ones -- just as you mentioned. It means the following: * Create new db -- an empty db will be created, i.e. when you complete the installation and run NCM, you will see no devices and will have to e.g.…
