Hi remy69, I sent you a mail offering discussion. Regards, Jiri

No. You can only detect changes in configuration. On the other hand, if the device support e.g. sending SNMP traps for such changes, it can be turned into an alert. Regards, Jiri

Hi migracia, I don't think this is a MIB file issue. What we will prabably have to do is customize your device template. Could you please post more details? What flash files, what command you use etc. (ideally a screenshot of all this in CLI to also see the prompt etc.) and then I believe I'll be able to help you. Regards,…

Hi cradaelli, You might want to check the following device template: Alcatel 7210-M-1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.6.2.1.2.2.1.ConfigMgmt-Commands Please let me know if you need instructions to make this device template work with your devices. Regards, Jiri

Hi jmiddleton, first, sorry for the delay. Second, I suggest using the scripting functionality: Here you can use all the commands defined in the device template. Please update us about your progress. Regards, Jiri

Hi, Yes, you are on the right way. Generally, you have to define your own config type and then modify the device template accordingly. An example can be found in . If those 17 files are all text, NCM will be able to compare them etc. If some are binary then obviously not. Does that help? Regards, Jiri

Hello Craig Norborg, Thanks for an excellent piece of information. We will definitely use it as inspiration for improvements of the EoL/EoS feature. I sent you an e-mail as I would like to discuss your feedback in detail. Regards, Jiri

David, I recommend you to install the newest CatTools version -- 3.9.1. It will give you a 14-day evaluation period where you can use all the features without any license, i.e. enough time to migrate the old installation. Once the new installation is up and running, you can deactivate the old one and activate the new one.…

Hi nbs, Could you please provide more details about what OUI report is? Thanks, Jiri
-
Hi , NCM support Orion SDK: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/community/labs_tht/orion-sdk You can ask for specific details about that API in the forum above. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, We found out from Cisco that you need to go through Smart Net Total Care auto registration process as a prerequisite for the reports to be collected. Please let me know whether that helps with the issues. Jiri

Hi, To anyone who gets the "UserID is not valid" message. Could you please share/send me: * The log file. By default, it's C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\NCMSAConnector\NCMSAConnector.txt. * Screenshot of the main screen just before you hit Submit? Thanks, Jiri

Eric, We don't have anything like that out of the box. You can create a feature request. Regards, Jiri
-
That would be a task for the compliance reports. You'll find a lot of information here on thwack about compliance reports/policies/rules.

If that's the menu-based beast, it might not be possible or worth the effort. See Re: APC UPS Device Template and Re: Anyone using NCM to manage APC Smart-UPS configs?. Jiri

Hi moogleson, Does the device have the ability to exit the menu and enter CLI? Thanks, Jiri

Hi rcraig12, The solution to multi-context device backup is described here: Re: A solution to multi-context config download with NCM (Cisco ASA, FWSM...) Is that what you are looking for? Thanks, Jiri

Hi, "No" is the same No as before. "Never" means the node will not be added to NCM during discovery. We will provide more information in the documentation with the official release. Jiri

I'm afraid that would be a feature request. Jiri

Hi ohionetadmin, What exact version of NCM are you using? Regards, Jiri

Hi, Aruba device normally work with NCM out of the box. All you need is add it to NCM and edit properties to define Telnet/SSH login credentials. (Yes, NCM supports many different transfer options.) Regards, Jiri
-
Wally, I hope NPM community will be able to help you. That's why I moved your question from NCM forum here. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi justin.miller2@cox.com, That doesn't look like a NCM question. What product is your query related to? Thanks, Jiri
-
Hi JamesHolloman, Could you please be a bit more specific about the errors that occur? Thanks, Jiri
