Hi johnny ringo, If you wait literally a few days, such alert comes with NCM 7.4 release candidate (supported in production) by default. Jiri

Hi csowerby, You should be able to re-enable the pagination by including the commands in the DownloadConfig command. In your particular case: <Command Name="DOWNLOADCONFIG" Value="display current${CRLF}user-interface vty 0${CRLF}screen-length 48${CRLF}quit${CRLF}" RegEx="\]" /> Please let me know whether that works.…

Jeff, I confirmed with NCM engineers that this is currently by design. I suggest that you create a feature request. Jiri
-
Have you consulted your case with our support? Jiri
-
FYI: I have moved this thread to the NPM space. Jiri

Hi, we are thinking about this feature. Logged as #138682. Regards, Jiri

Hi Kenneth, if I understand what you want to do (backup running config of your device), then the right item to discuss is a device template. If NCM does not select a working template automatically, you will have to customize your own. Not sure why you would want to have your own filename for the backup file. NCM generates…

Hi bforgeng, NCM includes a device template for Junos devices out of the box. Have you tried this one? Regards, Jiri
-
Hi bonnerz, Is the User Activity Tracking Report (Reports -> Audit) what you are looking for? Regards, Jiri
-
Hi klgaidineer, Device template is the right place to start. The order of the commands in the template is not important. I know it's a pain but it would be helpful if you read Chapter 6 of NCM Administrator Guide. Sample template: <!--SolarWinds Network Management Tools--> <!--Copyright 2008 SolarWinds.Net All rights…

Hi gprovanc, You can apply some filter and then export only this filtered data. If your report is still too big (and the Web UI times out), the workaround is to export that report in the Win32 GUI. We plan to address this issue in the future. Regards, Jiri

Hi , Generally speaking, the number of manual assignments should not be proportional to the number of nodes but to the number of different machine types. Looking at your devices: 700 nodes of about 25 different kinds; it seems that all nodes of the same Machine Type have the same EoL/EoS dates. You can simply group your…

Hi, The Job scheduling has been moved to the Web UI in NCM 7.2: The documentation you are using is obsolete. Have you installed NCM 7.2 on a clean machine, or were there any older NCM installations before? You can download the newest Admin Guide here:…

Hi, Is the config file text or binary? Jiri
-
Hi, Could you please post a few screenshots of the issue? What exactly errors are you getting? Thanks, Jiri

Hi, This looks like one of the problems we want to fix in an upcoming service release. I hope it will resolve your issue. Regards, Jiri

Have you checked the response from ">njoylif in the orogonal thread? He answered after you posted here... Jiri

Hi milewideinchdeep, Are you talking about the Win32 application, or the Web Console? Regards, Jiri
-
Hi jrchapman, Looks like this would be a feature request. Please create an idea; maybe rather in NPM/Core space as the syslog tool is part of the platform. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi Marc, I will try to find an answer for you. In the meantime, you may want to look at this document by Andy McBride about writing reports. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, You have two options: Either you install NCM and NPM on the same machine and then they share the same DB, or you install NCM on a different machine and then it will create its own DB. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi njoylif, we consulted with dev team and the response is: why don't you use device level login credentials? In that way, you could easily have different enable setup for different devices. Regards, Jiri

Alex, Is your custom report really SQL or SWQL (SolarWinds Query Language -- similar to SQL)? If it's SWQL, then the answer is no. If SQL, you can find a Win32 ReportWriter on the NCM server and your report should work. Please post your results. Thanks, Jiri

Hi bileesh, If you haven't figured it out yes, I can provide some blind tips: * Are you able to perform the upgrade procedure manually from e.g. putty? * Can you log in as <user>? * Have you tried to write the command in an non-interactive way? (I.e. all parameters on single line) Regards, Jiri
