Hi, I suppose you are using the tmsh-based template provided here -- . When you download it, put it in the {Orion Install Dir}\NCM\DeviceTypes directory. Then you must select this particular template for your F5 devices -- in the node management page. Regards, Jiri

Hi lchance, I recommend to start with NCM Video Tutorials. The values for NCM global variables can be modified in the Win32 application under File -> Settings -> Global Macro Settings. You can also define your own variables in the Macros section. Regards, Jiri

Ben, We are looking at adding the support of Lefthand / P4000 to SRM Orion module, but I can't tell you when this enhancement becomes available. The Lefthand OS support in STM (Profiler) will stay the same for now. Jiri

Hi k1gaudineer, In the device template, you need to define either DownloadConfigIndirect or DownloadConfigIndirectSCP for TFTP or SCP protocols respectively. The macros to be used are ${StorageAddress} and ${StorageFilename}. See Chapter 6 of NCM admin guide. file upload flash_file ${StorageAddress} system.cfg…

Hi richard.rafferty, Without further details, I would recommend upgrading to NCM 7.3 (i.e. 7.3.1). We have seen similar cases that were resolved by the upgrade. If you can't/don't want to upgrade, please open a support case to find the root cause. Regards, Jiri

Hi zjw, Could you please show the steps to log in to that device and download the configs manually? Ideally with screenshots. Then we can help you with the template. Regards, Jiri

Hi Greg, You currently can have only one watch list. If you want, you can create an entry in the Idea & Feature Request space. Regards, Jiri

Hi stevenjwilliams83, That would be a feature request. Regards, Jiri

That is an easy one: Regards, Jiri

Jon, If you don't have that job, just create a new job of type "Perform Routine Database and Archive Maintenance". Run it e.g. weekly (e.g. during night at weekend). You can specify purge parameters: Regards, Jiri

Hi BBo --, NCM 7.3 doesn't officially support MS SQL Server v2014 yet. We plan to do that in the next (maybe service) release once we test it thoroughly. NCM 7.3 is compatible with NPM 10.7 (and newer once there is some). Regards, Jiri

Hi csowerby, That would be a feature request. Regards, Jiri

Hi, That's interesting. What method do you use with NCM to back up the config? Isn't it possible that NCM grabs the config using TFTP or SCP? I could imagine that then the order of the lines may be different every time although the terminal output is the same. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi Dan, if I understand correctly, you are looking for the variable ${NodeCaption}. The whole list of supported variables can be found in the Orion NCM Administrator Guide. Regards, Jiri

Hi, I've serched Google a little bit and it seems that some versions of Alteon OS support the following syntax: Configuration# ptcfg <TFTP/FTP server> <filename> {-tftp | ftp user name ftp password} [-m | -mgmt | -d | -data] Then the appropriate command in the device template should look like this: <Command…

Hi justin_bradshaw, The feature is missing in the Web UI of NCM 7.2.2, but we are working on putting it back in NCM 7.3. Stay tuned. Regards, Jiri

Hi, Not directly, but there's a workaround. You must import the configuration (from ma text file) into the Win32 GUI. Then you can run a policy report that includes the node to which you attached the imported config file. Regards, Jiri

Hi, Sure, it is. Please post your question. Regards, Jiri
