Luis, That would be a feature request. Regards, Jiri

Hi rhunz, First of all, if you intend using TFTP, you need to use the indirect commands, i.e. <Command Name="DownloadConfigIndirect" Value="copy ${ConfigType} ${TransferProtocol}://${StorageAddress}/${StorageFilename}${CRLF}"/> <Command Name="UploadConfigIndirect"…

Hi dclick, What's not clear to me is when (under what condition) do you want to execute the script to bounce the port? Regards, Jiri
-
Hi, I'll discuss with IPAM engineers if there's anything we can do. Regards, Jiri
-
Foggy your request is. The dark side more details hasn't let you share. May the Force be with you. Y.

Hi lilysilver, That would be a feature request. Regards, Jiri

Hi, if you want to learn more about different deployment scenarios, please check the NCM 7 Architecture and Deployment blog post. If you choose the integrated separate server scenario, you won't lose any functionality comapred with the integrated single server case. Regards, Jiri

Hi Otto, Actually the for loop is possible (although not documented): int @ifor (@i=0;@i<5;@i=@i+1){ CLI { @i}} Regards, Jiri

Hi herwig, that's very valuable content. Could you please post it in Content Exchange -> Orion NCM Content -> Device Templates? Thanks, Jiri
-
Jeff, Looking at your question after I took a step back, I know the root cause. Config comparison in NCM works with individual lines -- exactly like the diff tool. That means you canot create a regex to match multiple lines. Regards, Jiri
-
This one could help: Ipanema Technologies-1.3.6.1.4.1.6307.1.4.1.34.ConfigMgmt-Commands
-
Hi ctrader, If I understand your question correctly, you are asking how to do that on the Cisco device, i.e. it's not NCM issue. In such case, you may find the procedure here: Role-Based CLI Access - Cisco Systems Regards, Jiri

Hi Ben, We definitely look at HO Storevirtual (Lefthand) in the long term. It has medium priority. We recommend installing STM to a different server from your Orion installation -- see SolarWinds Storage Resource Monitor Release Notes. MS SQL is the only option for SRM now. Regards, Jiri

Hi ds2acrvet, Try disabling the paging, i.e. set the value of the Reset command to "paging no enable" according to http://www.silver-peak.com/static/UserDocuments/CLI_R3-3_RevI/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm#context=CLI_R3-3_Rev… Regards, Jiri

All, What devices/vendors would you like to have these inventory details for most? Jiri
-
Wayne, Do you mean device IP address for "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"? That would lead to a config change template. The IP address used by NCM can be retrieved as @ContextNode.AgentIP. You may find some inspiration in the admin guide or here: A Few Tips and Tricks When Creating NCM Config Change Templates More Automation in NCM:…
-
Hi bharris, I would definitely recommend you to upgrade your NCM installation to the latest version -- now 7.2.2 -- and use the current version of the admin guide, too. Regards, Jiri
-
You can use the AddIP tool -- IPAM 4.3 Tool - Importing large number of subnets. Jiri

Hi, We have been discussing the problem internally and our dev team need more information to proceed. I suggest that you open a support case so that this issue can be taken care of properly. Thanks, Jiri
-
Hi Deltona, We haven't tested this procedure and therefore it's neither supported nor recommended. Engineering explicitly advises to wait for the migration to finish. Regards, Jiri
-
Jeff, Please work with support to resolve this. Thanks, Jiri
-
Hi turkmauser, What exactly do you mean by parts items? Thanks, Jiri
-
Hi, You must place the template in %SolarWindsInstallDirectory%\Orion\NCM\DeviceTypes. It has nothing to do with Config Change Templates in your screenshot. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi atkinsd, If you perform the same steps manually (e.g. in a Putty session), so they work? It's not clear from the description if the error is thrown by the device or by NCM. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi JustinY, Could you please post the session trace? When you connect to the device manually and use the same commands as in the template, is everything OK? Regards, Jiri
-
How about this one: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-170597 Jiri
-
Hi, I suggest opening a support case. Regards, Jiri
-
Hi alxgarder, The feature works regardless of Internet connection. Regards, Jiri

Hi rjordan, I think this is an error in the release notes. I will double check. Regards, Jiri

The only way to check aggregated job result would be running the script from a job. However, we are already aware of the need for improvement of the Web UI to be able to do this for scripts executed directly (not from a job). We are investigating a way to handle this for future versions. Jiri
